Great hotel...

We were there for our honeymoon and the hotel was great! Our room was a standard room but beautiful, pool was amazing, whole hotel super quiet, but not so good location! The free shuttle for the hotel went out of buisness the week before we arrived, so we rented bikes to go everywhere. The nearest beach is about a mile and half away, then duval st. is about the same. The conceirge desk was so friendly and helpful!

This was a rip off

From the moment we got there everything went wrong. They had us booked on the wrong days even after showing them the confirmation they mailed us. The A/C did not work, the shower curtain had mold all over it. (Maintenence did come to the room when I walked down and confronted them but the thing never ran right) They never changed the sheets or provided fresh towels until the last day. I was told by the man at the front desk to go into the linen closet and get them myself. After the first day after we came back from a trip down to Duval St, we found our room left wide open. , apparently house keeping was going to clean the room but either forgot or never got around to it. The drain in the tub was clogged up. The phone never worked, and the cable was out at the hotel but was working everywhere else on the key. The thing that really upset me is they over charged us for the room! We had to argue about the days of our departure, even afer we showed them the confirmation they mailed us. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Decnet Value

We were in Key West for a wedding and stayed at the Inn. It was a nice place but the front desk staff left a lot to be desired. I was told that I had a good view....and it did....of palm trees growing onto the deck. The air conditioner was bad and I asked them 3 times to fix. They didn't come up until the second request and did nothing. Others in our party in other rooms did not have the same problem. I was disappointed that the hotel did not have shuttle service to the airport. Taxi was $5.50 per person. Round trip taxi to downtown was over $30.00 w/tip. Key West is really a young persons vacation and not some place I would visit again. I was there 54 years ago as a young boy and flew to Cuba w/my parents. Those were the days. If you go...rent a car and be prepared for a lot of traffic and few parking spaces.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!

My husband and I have 4 kids, so we wanted to go somewhere relaxing! We upgraded the room from Deluxe to Superior, and it was well worth the money! The room was beautiful and well decorated. The entire hotel is quiet, which means we got really good sleep this week. The swimming pool... HEAVEN! We spent most of our time at the pool because it is the nicest pool we have EVER seen! The food at the hotel is a little pricey, but there is an IHOP right beside the hotel and other restaurants within walking distance. The staff was so pleasant and very helpful, best service I've seen. The bed is comfortable but firm. I'm not into firm matresses, but my husband said he loved it. Overall, the hotel was amazingly beautiful. It is right across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. We will be coming back every summer!

Great pool!

I go to KW twice a year and this was my first stay at The Inn. Very pleased overall. Although, in my opinion, if you enter your rooms from the outside rather than the inside, this would be considered a motel not a hotel. But, they were very nicely furnished nonetheless and the bed has got to be the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We arrived about an hour after the allowed check-in time and our room was not ready. The help desk was very courteous and gave us vouchers to take out to the pool bar for a complimentary drink while we waited, which was only about 15 minutes. The banana daiquiris are great! The pool area is large and lush and was never really over crowded in my opinion. A good mix of younger and older couples and only a few kids that I noticed on my trips down to the pool. If you're looking to be around the action of Duval St., this hotel is a little ways away from there. You'll need a rental car or if you're brave enough, you can risk your life on one of the many scooters/mopeds that are rented down there. There's a Denny's next door if you're looking for a greasy spoon within walking distance.

beautiful hotel, beautiful location

The Hotel was easy to find, was beautiful and quiet. We hardly knew there was anyone else staying there, no noise from the hallways, no doors slamming, no noisy elevator sounds, no noisy water pipes sounds from other guests. It was a VERY pleasant stay. The hotel staff was lax in restocking shampoo and conditioner. Because of airport security not allowing full sized bottles we depended on the hotel supplying these as promised in their ad. At first I wished the hotel was closer to old town and all it offered but the quietness and the beauty of the area and the hotel outweighed my concerns. I would stay there again and after showing my photos to friends, they would too.

Our stay at the inn

My husband and I stayed at The Inn at Key West. Check in was very easy the rooms are beautiful. The pool is gorgeous. Nice tikki bar poolside. The pool needs more rafts. The staff was very nice. The cafe was good for breakfast. Being so close to the ocean I had hoped for more seafood items on the lunch menu. The shuttle is a great idea for those who do not want to stay in the middle of the party downtown. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and plan to come back again next year. Only one drawback to all of Key West including the Inn. The ROOSTERS!!!!!!!!!!

Great Hotel, Location questionable

The Inn at Key West is a great place to stay. The hotel staff was very friendly. We arrived at 11am and check-in was a 3pm. They allowed us to place our luggage in a semi secure room while we relaxed at the pool. We had a room by 1pm with a pool side view. The room had many admenities not listed on the hotel website: iron, hairdryer, mini fridge...etc. and the bed was very comfortable. The staff at the pool's Tiki Bar gave us great ideas as to what we would like to do during our time there. The hotel also has a conceirge that can book activities for you from the convenience of the hotel lobby. We were told & it proved very true that The Inn has the best lunch on the island; creative & delicious. The pool is also the biggest on the island and offers multiple lay-out chairs & floats to use while relaxing at the pool. There is also a grocery store within walking distance. Downside- the housekeeper very often forgot to restock the bathroom with shampoo & condition. That can be big inconvenience for those traveling by plane. \n\nThere was one glaring negative about staying at The Inn & that was mainly due to its' location. Our family & friends were all staying within walking distance of Duval Street, & this hotel is more than 2 miles away which equals about $17 in cab fare each way. The hotels nearby offer a free shuttle service but The Inn charges $23 per room, per day. Also, the last shuttle pick up from Duval is midnight. I would stay there again in 20 years when downtown would not be as exciting or if I just need a vacation to layout by the pool.

Fantastic!

My husband and I were in Key West for our wedding and were recommened this hotel. At first sight, it was not as expected but that quickly changed once we pulled up and walked in. The staff was very helpful and friendly and it took no time to check in. A friend of ours, as a wedding gift, had called ahead and bought us a bottle of champagne and booked us a sunset cruise with the concierge...it was waiting in the room when we arrived along with a card from the hotel...great touch. They also had put us in one of their best rooms. The rooms were good and clean and we slept comfortably and with no interruptions. My parents had also called the hotel to surprise us with breakfast in bed the day after and the staff brought up a huge breakfast right at the time of our wake up call and brought another card with it as well...we thought it was fantastic service. The pool and tiki hut were great. Be aware of the roosters/chickens...they are all over the island and are protected...we thought they were intriguing and funny though. The hotel is about 8 minutes from Old Town but there is a shuttle that runs all day from the hotel for a fee and is a good idea because parking is hard to find down there. We will definitely go back to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone!
