“Farm stay”
Loved feeling of being in a charming farmhouse sited on rolling fields. Well equipped for family fun - swam and fished in the pond, gazed at the stars around a fire, played ping pong and enjoyed the hot tub. Near to Hancock the river. Highly recommend..

Cozy Perfect Summer Spot!
This was our second year booking this rental for a summer friends getaway. We loved the wraparound porch, the great dock and pond, the outdoor grill and patio table, and just the general care and thoughtful details of this spot.

Wonderful Stay
We chose the house because it was so close to French Woods camp for visiting day. We didn’t expect the property to be so lovely. Aside from being in a beautiful location, the house was stocked with recreational objects (from ping pong to rafting). We were greeted with a lovely package with the makings for s‘mores to make in the fire pit and a bottle of wine. The kitchen had three different kinds of coffee makers (along with coffee). We will definitely be coming back

Fantastic Getaway
We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse. The house is beautiful and is very well stocked. The property is private, well kept and our 4 kids loved swimming and floating in the pond and spending evenings in the hot tub, playing ping pong and sitting around the fire pit. There were some great local restaurants and overall we had an awesome long weekend and would definitely come back again!

Friends First Time Fly Fishing Trip
Bruce and Denise's Farmhouse was the perfect weekend retreat for our group of six longtime high school buddies getting together for a weekend of fly fishing on the Delaware River.
Their advice on where to eat dinner in the area was spot on and the house had way more amenities than we could utilize. Everything was as advertised and then some. Our only regret was not making time for another night or two. Hopeful to return in the near future .

Perfect Getaway
My friends and I had a fantastic stay at the French Woods Farmhouse! The house and property are beautiful. The house is roomy and immaculate. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the dock, stargazing from the hot tub, lounging on the big couch, and eating and playing games at the large dining room table. Bruce was amazing in communicating all the details we needed for an enjoyable stay including things to do nearby. We hope to return next year!

We had an excellent experience staying here. It was one of the best equipped rentals we’ve stayed in, with a fully stocked kitchen, lots of queen beds, comfy couch, hot tub, etc. It’s also located on a beautiful lot with a lake. Bruce was very responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend!

Farmhouse Bliss
I stayed here with a group of friends (8 total) and our two dogs. We spent a total of 5 days here and already wish we had stayed longer. The house is fantastic in all aspects! The kitchen is very well stocked with all you need to cook for a large group. We spent our days down at the pond and floating on the water then our nights were spent either making s'mores or playing boardgames on the large kitchen table. The house is a great spot to trade in city sounds for the sounds of country life. Bruce is beyond amazing and was quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this house and hope to visit it again. Look no further for bliss then at the Frenchwood Farmhouse!

Wonderful country retreat
The farmhouse and property is beautiful!! I grew up in this house many years ago prior to the renovations and was blown away by how much it has changed for the better. The amenities were great, everything we needed was available, and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday visiting family. Hard to beat this value for the price, we'll definitely try to book again if this property is still open next time we're in the Hancock area.

Highly recommend this house and location
We were in the area for a wedding at Handsome Hollow (lovely venue). The location of this home was excellent. This home was perfect for our party of 7. The views were awesome. Nice pond, mountains, great sunset. We highly recommend this house. The owner and manager were great. It has a large screened-in porch and open porch which was perfect for outdoor seating for all. We enjoyed the BBQ and were able to cook home meals. We had great sleeping arrangements and the 3 full bathrooms are a bonus!!! The home was well stocked with all the essentials and some extras. We arrived too nice music playing on Alexia and A/C throughout the house. A nice note from the owner and great information about the area. The interior was fun and cool – well done. We were mins from the town of Hancock which has a nice small food store (TOPS) that we were able to pick up anything and all food we needed. Also in the area are nice farm stands and other small local shops (over the boarder to PA – which is really only about 15-20 mins from the house). We had the rehearsal dinner at the local golf club that was 1.5 miles away and the wedding about 7 miles away. Down time was peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of space in this home – we never felt crowded. Dinner table large enough for all. We had an elderly person with a walker and the downstairs worked out perfect for them to sleep and use the bathroom without issue. Rosie was great to keep in touch with, very responsive. The owner Joe once we were on site was over the top accommodating. We were in a bind, and he helped us out big time!!! JOE IS AWESOME. I know he owns another home in the area – haven’t been there, but I am sure it is just as awesome as this one. For sure if you are hitting up a wedding or event at the golf club or Handsome Hollow this is the place to be and of course for a family / friends retreat. You won't regret it.

A beautiful and restful oasis
First the online reservation and the attentive communication before our arrival with Rosie was excellent. I appreciate her responses to our questions and concerns. The property and the house are exactly as pictured. As soon as we arrived we felt welcomed. The house was immaculate, clean and extremely organized. We enjoyed the surroundings, the quietness and quality time with family on the porch. From all the properties I have rented in the past from VRBO, I would place this home on my top three list. Perfect spot for our family gathering! There are lots of comfortable spaces to sit, talk, eat, and generally enjoy the peacefully surroundings. We especially loved the long front porch where we sat in the evening and watched the fireflies. There is lots to do in the area--we will definitely be back again to take it all in.
