Wonderful Stay

We had a great time with kids, friends and dogs alike! The house was beautiful and even bigger than the photos suggested. The dogs loved the outside area and pond to play. It was a great stay!

What a Magnificently restored farmhouse! No detail left undone! We enjoyed the pond, hot tub, fire pit, patio, a trip into Callicoon for the farmers market and quaint shops ... let's just say we enjoyed it all! We will defiantly be back!

Cozy Perfect Summer Spot!

Lovely farmhouse

Joe's French Woods

Perfect spot for our family gathering! There are lots of comfortable spaces to sit, talk, eat, and generally enjoy the peacefully surroundings. We especially loved the long front porch where we sat in the evening and watched the fireflies. There is lots to do in the area--we will definitely be back again to take it all in.

Fantastic Getaway

We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse. The house is beautiful and is very well stocked. The property is private, well kept and our 4 kids loved swimming and floating in the pond and spending evenings in the hot tub, playing ping pong and sitting around the fire pit. There were some great local restaurants and overall we had an awesome long weekend and would definitely come back again!

One of the best!

What a great house! We were welcomed with lights on, soft music playing, wildflowers and apple pie. It doesn't get any better than that! Our hosts thought of everything and were easily accessible. Would definitely recommend this home for a get away weekend.

Repeat visit to a lovely Catskill farmhouse

This is our second summer renting the farmhouse for a 2-week stay. Joe is the best host, ever! The property is lovely, well-equipped, and comfortable with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Communication with Rosie, the property manager, was always smooth and fast. We hope to return soon!

Wonderful Stay

We chose the house because it was so close to French Woods camp for visiting day. We didn’t expect the property to be so lovely. Aside from being in a beautiful location, the house was stocked with recreational objects (from ping pong to rafting). We were greeted with a lovely package with the makings for s‘mores to make in the fire pit and a bottle of wine. The kitchen had three different kinds of coffee makers (along with coffee). We will definitely be coming back

Friends First Time Fly Fishing Trip

Bruce and Denise's Farmhouse was the perfect weekend retreat for our group of six longtime high school buddies getting together for a weekend of fly fishing on the Delaware River. Their advice on where to eat dinner in the area was spot on and the house had way more amenities than we could utilize. Everything was as advertised and then some. Our only regret was not making time for another night or two. Hopeful to return in the near future .

Awesome in Hancock

Recently renovated with plenty of space and almost every convenience. Slept 6 with everyone having their own bed...could easily accommodate more. Large kitchen, dining area, family room with opened and screened in porches available to enjoy the view. Access to a large pond with an overabundance of small bass willing to take almost anything was a great finish to every day. Owner was super responsive to any request with the "gift" marshmallows chocolate and graham crackers a nice touch. Great price for a great place. Will be back

Simply Paradise.....

From the moment we arrived, we loved the property. We felt right at home when we walked in the door. The farmhouse was everything we could have asked for. We loved it so much that by day two of a planned 7 night trip, we called Rosie/Joe and asked if we could extend our stay another day -thankfully, it was available and having an extra day in paradise was all we could ask for. The house is beautifully done. Comfortable and tasteful furniture (the beds were amazingly comfortable), beautiful artwork, a modern and well stocked kitchen, plenty of fire wood (we really enjoyed our evening cocktails around the firepit and were grateful the bountiful wood provided) and simply beautiful landscape to admire and explore. The house is not far from the road but one would never know that as it was so quiet, you felt very private and secluded. Taking afternoon naps on the screened in porch became one or our parties highest priorities. We took daily walks to the pond and enjoyed the Adirondack chairs to simply enjoy the views. Rosie and Joe were the most hospitable hosts anyone could ask for. From the moment we identified the property, Rosie was so prompt and helpful in responding. Although we only spoke via email & on the phone, Rosie's wonderful personality made me feel like I had known her for some time. And Joe, who could ask for a more accommodating and kind host. Not only did he check-in to make sure we had all we needed, he actually brought us apple turnovers for breakfast one day (delicious by the way - thank you!) and made us feel that no request was too big. It was great, they were around yet, they were not. Each day we enjoyed watching a family of deer (5 to be exact) come to graze in the back field in the morning and afternoon and when we needed to replenish supplies, we made the short and scenic drive to Hancock - the folks at grocery store, liquor store and gas station made us feel welcome and like we were part of the local community. Overall, we could not have asked for a better trip. The French Woods Farmhouse was an amazing find and exactly what we needed for our short and rejuvenating break from NYC. We would highly recommend it to anyone. The farmhouse is roomy and so comfortable and Joe & Rosie are simply the best. If you think you are interested in the farmhouse, book it. You won't be sorry.

Perfect Getaway

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at the French Woods Farmhouse! The house and property are beautiful. The house is roomy and immaculate. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the dock, stargazing from the hot tub, lounging on the big couch, and eating and playing games at the large dining room table. Bruce was amazing in communicating all the details we needed for an enjoyable stay including things to do nearby. We hope to return next year!

Great stay for all ages

We had an excellent experience staying here. It was one of the best equipped rentals we’ve stayed in, with a fully stocked kitchen, lots of queen beds, comfy couch, hot tub, etc. It’s also located on a beautiful lot with a lake. Bruce was very responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend!

Farmhouse Bliss

I stayed here with a group of friends (8 total) and our two dogs. We spent a total of 5 days here and already wish we had stayed longer. The house is fantastic in all aspects! The kitchen is very well stocked with all you need to cook for a large group. We spent our days down at the pond and floating on the water then our nights were spent either making s'mores or playing boardgames on the large kitchen table. The house is a great spot to trade in city sounds for the sounds of country life. Bruce is beyond amazing and was quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this house and hope to visit it again. Look no further for bliss then at the Frenchwood Farmhouse!

Fishing trip

Great location Private but not far from things to do. We didn't do much other than fishing which is why we came to Hancock. However, Bethel Woods close by as well as other attractions. Lovely house, great communication with owners.
