Welcome to our cozy beachfront​ cottage, located directly on one of the best beaches Lake Erie has to offer! We are located about 2 hours South of Toronto or 1 hour outside of Hamilton on the Niagara South Coast. A very easy trip to the beach without the hassle of cottage country traffic!

Our beach is privately owned with​ clear​, shallow water that is warm and perfect for families looking to spend the day on the beach. The sunsets and sand here are truly outstanding. The beautiful sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing, building sandcastles or taking a walk along the beach. Enjoy kayaking on calm days or bodysurfing in the waves when the surf kicks up. On windy days, Long Beach offers some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in Ontario. Enjoy dinner on the beachfront patio overlooking the lake, evenings roasting marshmallows over the fire-pit or in the hot tub under the stars.


Our 1600 sqft cottage offers an open concept main floor with fantastic lake views from the kitchen, dining room and living room. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need including a dishwasher as well as a new BBQ on the deck.

Wake up to the sound of the waves in the master bedroom overlooking the lake. This bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs and a second 3 piece bathroom on the main floor.

In addition to the spectacular beachfront location, our cottage is close to many nearby attractions including Niagara Wine Country and Niagara Falls. Locally, you can enjoy dinner at DJs or grab an ice cream cone and a round of mini golf at The Hungry Putter, all within walking distance from the beach. A 25-minute​ drive into Jordan brings you into the heart of wine country.

This was our third stay at this beautiful beach property in Wainfleet, and it continues to be a favorite for our family! The home is always clean, comfortable, and perfectly located just steps from the beach. We especially loved the new addition of the ping pong table and foosball in the basement—such a fun bonus for all. Each year, this property feels more and more like a home away from home. It's a great property. The pictures don't really do it justice. Spacious and very well maintained. Lots of beach/water toys available. You really just need to bring some clothes and food and everything else is there for you!

Perfect long weekend

We enjoyed walking the beach and sitting by the fire at night. Niagara Falls is just a short, easy drive away. Definitely check out Smokin’ Buddha in Port Colbourne- delicious food in a chill atmosphere. We also cooked several meals in the cottage as they had everything we needed. Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

A Lovely Week

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was fully equipped and in a beautiful location. The amenities were a wonderful bonus. My kids enjoyed the ping pong table and kayaks. The fire pit was also enjoyable! It was a quiet location but still close enough to get to Niagara Falls. Beautiful place!

Perfect Getaway

We have just returned from our second visit to Sunset Beach House. It is such a wonderful place to stay. So clean and well cared for, and has everything you need (and more) to enjoy your stay on Lake Erie's best beach. The owner was very responsive and so easy to deal with. A few changes and additions from last year show the owners' interest in creating a wonderful experience for their visitors. While we live within a 15 minute drive of the location we truly felt like we were a world away from home. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

A bright and airy retreat.

We came up just at the beginning of winter and had an amazing time. The space is spotless, spacious and airy. The bedding is super comfy - really high quality sheets, pillows etc. Everything you need to stay comfortably is provided. The space has a lovely homey feel and stunning views. Enjoy your morning coffee by the water with a small fire going to stay toasty. Relax in the hot tub to unwind. Loved the small book selection in the upstairs bedroom. We'll definitely be back! Perfect Cottage experience!

We had an excellent cottage vacation and made lots of memories! The location is amazing with access to your own private beach. The hot tub, the garden (with a picnic table), and the patio area (with the fire pit) - all located between the cottage and the beach makes it perfect! Amazing lake views during the sunset and at night (moon-lit). Each and every detail has been taken care of inside the cottage with great quality products provided (i.e. towels, linen, utensils, ample cutlery, lots of board-games, shed full of beach/water items - kayaks etc). One suggestion: The path between the parking and the cottage can be made firmer/smoother to help carry stuff with ease on the cart. The cart provided surely helps but the distance is just a little too long and makes it slightly difficult to move everything. (may be we carried lots of our own stuff due to the current Covid-19 situation :-)). The owners (Karen) are very responsive and a delight to interact with. Overall a perfect vacation. We are already looking at the dates to plan for next year!

Family Day Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend here! The cottage was beautifully decorated. It was extremely clean and everything was generously provided! We loved the hot tub even though we had a couple of chilly evenings. The view of the lake was wonderful. The kids loved the ping pong table. The beds were very comfortable. I would consider renting in the summer as well. This is one of the best cottages I have rented!

Family Christmas vacation We spent 5 days in the house. As stated by others, the view is breathtaking, with the opportunity to witness the sunset, different every day. The beach is right there, very easily accessible. We enjoyed the lay out of the house with a nice big open area as living room / dining room / kitchen with ample space for everyone to sit comfortably. The gouse is well equipped with plenty of kitchen ware and linens, it does feel like a real house, not just a rented place for vacation. I want to specifically mention the responsiveness of the owners, both before and during our stay. We would totally recommend this house, it is simply perfect for any season.

We loved this cottage! It was perfect for our family and fit 10 of us comfortably.

This property was perfect for our family. We enjoyed our stay so much! The cottage was clean and modern. I was surprised by how updated it was. We loved the large table for gatherings. It was so nice to stay right on the water, and the kids loved to just walk down to the beach. We also enjoyed the hot tub and having bonfires at night time. We will definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

The best cottage we have ever rented!

We absolutely loved this cottage. We will definitely be returning for more this summer! The view of the lake from inside the cottage is beautiful. The cottage is fresh and newly decorated. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. The beds were all so comfortable that we all woke refreshed each morning. Even though the weather was cool, we still enjoyed the beach every day. We watched the sun set over the lake from the chairs on the patio. So beautiful and peaceful! The fire pit on the patio kept us warm as the evening grew cooler. During the day, we watched people enjoy the beach, and watched the kids play in the sand from the comfort of the patio. One afternoon there were several kite surfers out on the water. Even though the weather was cool, we still enjoyed the We really enjoyed the ice cream cones at the nearby Hungry Putter. And Port Colbourne is nearby, and we saw a ship pass under the lift bridge. And the optical illusion of the Shrinking Mill impressed even the teenagers in the group! This was the loveliest cottage we have ever rented. Wonderful family memories and we came home thoroughly relaxed and refreshed. Five stars!
