BOOK WITH CAUTION! The chalet itself was lovely: plenty of sleeping space and a large upstairs deck with beautiful views. The drive up was a bit intimidating if you're used to flat land, but manageable. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.Several issues existed that the rental company was already aware of but did not disclose before our stay. Previous reviews mentioned the freezer malfunctioning, the ice machine not working, and mold in both the washing machine and showers—none of which had been addressed. Under normal circumstances we might have worked around or cleaned these ourselves. However, we were traveling with two infants under one year old and two older immunocompromised adults. The freezer’s inability to maintain a safe temperature meant food storage was unreliable, and the moldy washer made us hesitant to wash towels for fear of exposing our at-risk guests.The final straw was discovering MICE and droppings in and around our personal belongings on the last day. Mouse droppings can carry harmful bacteria, which again created a health risk for our group.We reported everything to Stay Minty. Their response was a 300 credit toward another stay within 12 months. They also stated they would have sent someone had we reported the appliance issues earlier—despite reviews showing they had been aware of these problems since at least November 2025. They were unwilling to come to any other resolution than one that would ultimately make them more money.
