Great little house

We loved staying at this house. The owner was able to contact repairmen to get the dryer and a sink working right away. The location is great being away from the busy streets of the main part of the island. Blocks from a nice beach that has less traffic than the sea wall area. Loved our stay there.

Perfect for family vacation

I grew up in the Houston area and we would go to Galveston all the time. We’ve taken our kids every year and this has to be the most family friendly stay yet!

Pretty in pink house!

The house was very clean and supplied with an amazing amount of kitchen and laundry supplies. The neighborhood was quiet, and the location was convenient for all the daily island activities we came to experience. We would certainly consider staying here again on our next visit to Galveston.

Clean, cool, and close to the beach!

Stayed with some old friends for a surf fishing trip. We tore up the reds and landed a 5' black tip reef shark. It was our fourth year in a row, but the first time staying in a rental. We will NEVER rough it again. Having a hot shower, washer and dryer, clean bedding, a large kitchen and air conditioning makes a good trip into a great one! Only critique would be the coffee. It would have been nice to get a heads up that there was only a keurig (no pods) and no slow drip machine. I finally found the frying pans on the last day (under the oven), but I know I would have had an instant answer had I just texted the owner. It was just hard to find stuff in the kitchen. I will definitely check availability for this house next trip!

Two times a charm!

We stayed here last year for family vacation and loved it so much, we came back for a second round! Nicole is simply the best! The house is perfect and gorgeous. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to a nice beach. The fishing off the pier is amazing. The marina has anything extra you may have forgotten, but so does the house. Nicole has thought of everything. Can’t wait for next year!!

Amazing

We have rented places in Galveston several times in the past. Usually right on the beach. But this time we stayed at Straight Chillaxing. What a wonderful surprise. We have always had to supply pretty much everything except pots and dishes. But our hosts provided so much including spices and pretty much all you need in the kitchen.. even coffee pods for the Kurieg. Hand soap, shampoo, and a first aid kit. We were even greeted by a complimentary bottle of wine. The house was beautiful and spacious. We will rent this place again.

Beautiful & Relaxing Home close to Beach!

This is a such a beautiful home! Very clean, well decorated, and only a brief walk to the beach! Perfect for our family vacation. The owners have put so much thought and attention into making sure their guests feel at home and welcome. If you love to cook- you will find any and everything you need in the kitchen! There are special touches like shampoo, lotion, soap, and first aid needs in bathrooms and beach toys/chairs downstairs. A bottle of wine was waiting for us at arrival. Beds & sofa were very comfortable! Our favorite part was the outdoor shower downstairs- perfect place to rinse off after a day at the beach and prevent piles of sand from coming in the house. Our kiddo thought it was so cool as well. We will definitely be back!!

Great experience

We loved this property! It was .5 miles from one of the public beaches, which was perfect. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the warm Texas weather. We would stay here again.

Wonderful trip!

We had such a great time! The owner is super sweet and kind. We have three kids under 12, and they loved the bunkbed room. The furniture and beds are so comfortable. Everything was ultra clean.

Relaxing

The property and location was beautiful and relaxing! Loved sitting on the porch and listening to the ocean in the morning. Within walking distance to the beach. I'm so glad we chose this property for our Christmas getaway.

Felt like home

This is a great house. Very well equipped, clean, nice. Lots of extra touches like toiletries, laundry and kitchen detergent, paper goods, beach toys and more. The owners are very thoughtful — they provide many of the comforts of home. The home decor is lovely, bedding is high quality. Beds are super comfy. I didn’t want to leave! We had such a fun week there!

Relaxing and restful weekend

We will definitely stay there again on our next brief getaway!!! Beautifully decorated with amazing porch. Minutes from beach and a short ride to the piers! The property was new, very clean and has a well equipped kitchen. We had a very great experience. Thanks for letting us to check in early. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Awesome!!

This property was perfect and beautiful. It was perfectly decorated and everyone had plenty of room. The only con is having to pay $100 fee to swim in the neighborhood pool. The owners were fantastic and responsive. We would love to stay here again the next time we visit Galveston!
