Wonderful hotel with an updated old charm. This hotel did not disappoint. The hot tub and pool where clean and relaxing. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. It is located in like an old part of town with lots of walkable plaves to visit, shopping and restaurants. It was very quiet. You will not be disappointed if you stay here

Room large, nice, clean, bed and linens comfortable. Bathroom large, shower large, large vanity with large mirror. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel busy but fairly quiet in room due to at end of hallway. No view due to no windows other than small skylight, room very dim. Not a lot of amenities that were not needed cost. Good stay

The bath fan didn’t draw any air as it was clogged with dust. Room otherwise very clean , other than the carpet could use a shampoo. The air return vent in the hallway was also quite dusty. No bar soap or lotion was in the bathroom but there is liquid shower soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The first room we had, had a noisy fridge but we easily moved to a new room. There was a loud flappy metallic sound outside during high winds the first night - a flagpole on the roof may have been the cause. We did not use the whirlpool or pool as the hallway outside the door to that area downstairs was extremely smelly of chlorine. Breakfast is not included but there is a restaurant on premises (a bit overpriced). There are a couple more-reasonable breakfast places close by. Staff is very nice. They offer free local newspaper at the front desk. There are carts to take luggage up to your room. I don’t think we’ll go back as since we decided we didn’t want to use the pool, the price is a bit high for us.

Unfortunately I have to give a poor rating even though there were great things about our stay like the pleasant check-in, friendly staff, fun bar, and great brunch. So why the poor rating? When we turned down our bedding for the night, there was a drizzle of what looked like diarrhea down the sheet. I immediately called the front desk and they moved us to another room but we had to pack up all of our stuff at midnight and move which was terribly inconvenient. A housekeeping slip like this is simply unacceptable. It wasn’t a small “mark” that could maybe be overlooked. It was at least twelve inches long and took up quite a bit of surface space.
