My partners drink was spiked and he didn’t know where he was or what he was doing. The hotel ended up kicking us out due to this and we had to pay for a different hotel

Was apprehensive with previous reviews, however we were pleasantly surprised. Location was excellent, beach across the road, lots of lovely restaurants, bars and shops behind the hotel. Lovely welcoming reception, smooth check in, room on 13th floor, excellent views. Hotel was quiet, room was spotless, daily room service, great shower. ** Only negative was the noise coming from the cleaners from early morning. ** We didn't eat in hotel so can't comment Overall - we will definitely return

The rooms, though small, are perfect for a short break. Clean, comfortable beds, good showers! It was my wife’s birthday and unprompted they delivered a bottle of fizz to our room while we were out discovering the food delights of the town. A lovely touch, my wife didn’t believe that I hadn’t told them. The staff were attentive and helpful, it’s in a great position for exploring and we’d definitely stay there again.

Lets start would I say again answer yes nice hotel , but would be a short stay again bed not that comfy for me , and would I pay for dinner & breakfast answer no . breakfast i have no real complaints plenty of variety , now dinner for it lacked taste and struggled many a times with it trying diff dishes, all was so bland and how chips can be so bad says it all for me.

Room lacked basics like a bedside cabinet and a bathroom door would be good. The people in the room next to us obviously smoked as our room smelt of smoke. More variety needed for breakfast especially more fruit. Clean room and lovely shower. Staff nice.

Check-in was stated as 2pm. We arrived at the hotel about 11.30am after a 6am flight (meant getting up at 2.15am) followed by a train journey. We were wondering if we would be lucky and maybe our room would be ready. At reception I said ‘hello, we have a reservation’ before I could show my confirmation, the gentleman behind the desk said ‘you have reservation, check in is 2pm, come back 1pm and maybe’ now I wasn’t EXPECTING to check in early, but I was HOPING. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the last 30 years and I’ve NEVER known a hotel not check to see if a room is ready. If he had looked at the computer and said, I’m sorry but your room isn’t ready yet, I would’ve thought no more about it, but his attitude was not a welcoming one. He did offer to let us have a key to use the locked toilet in reception! Where we quickly changed out of our travelling clothes (it was 9 degrees when we left home and 29 degrees when we arrived) then he let us leave our luggage in an unlocked room! Figure that one! On the plus side, when we did get our room, it was exactly what we booked, it was very clean and more than adequate. The daily cleaning service was spot on. The hotel is a bit dated and basic, but for our stay it was just right. Despite the unwelcoming arrival, we returned at 2pm after a lovely lunch in a beachside restaurant, which was the start of a very pleasant stay.
