A lovely hotel in a lovely quiet spot over looking Frensham Pond. Room huge, with a very comfortable bed and a great shower.
Bar area a little subdued and lacked some atmosphere, it could have done with some back ground music.
Staff were nice enough but sadly lacked enthusiasm and interaction with their customers. Those working in the bar didn’t acknowledge us when waiting to be served and there was no communication or warm welcome, to the extent we felt a little awkward.
Breakfast offer was great with plenty of choice. It was advertised being served until 10am. We arrived at 9.45am and were promptly told by the breakfast staff it finished at 10am and sure enough all food was removed at 10am, so it ended up not being the leisurely Sunday morning breakfast we had hoped for.
The reception staff didn’t really want to speak to us either when checking in or out. Hardly two words! In any hotel you want to feel welcomed on arrival and that the staff are there to serve you throughout your stay. On this occasion it sadly didn’t feel like that. Don’t want to sound negative and hope hotel management take my comments constructively.
