Excellent host, offing information on all aspects that you could possibly need! The house was really well equipped and appointed. It was beautifully decorated and had a cosy but modern feel.

Awesome place to stay! Owners were very attentive and responded quickly to emails and texts. Property has everything you need to just walk in and enjoy. So peaceful and quiet.

Fabulous

This was the best place we’ve stayed. Two kitchens, plenty of room for 10 of us, all the amenities and supplies included, water toys. Two great decks. Everything’s in great condition. Responsive owners. Less than 30 minute drive to two larger cities and great Lake Michigan beaches.

Family Vacation birthday celebration

A week up north with our adult children and their families was exactly what we needed. We have lived throughout the country and overseas, but yet northern Michigan is a place we always come home to!!It was great to watch the little ones experience all the upnorth fun of swimming in the lake - sitting around camp fires in the sand - Fishing off the dock - building Sandcastles at Lake Michigan- paddling kayaks at the property - taking a day trip to sleeping bear dunes and shopping in Ludington!Your home is beautiful and has everything anyone could need - thank you for sharing it with us!A home you definitely want to come back to!!

The property itself was an excellent choice for our family. Lots of room to move around. The only disappointment was the waterfront. It was disappointing but the owners did address the weedy bottom. It is a lovely home!

The house was beautiful! The description and photos are 100% accurate. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed. All three full bathrooms have wonderful walk-in showers. Having a 2nd full kitchen on the lower lever was super handy! The beds were all very comfortable.Jodi the host was super helpful and communication was excellent!!!We especially enjoyed the lakeside fires with 10 comfortable chairs.The upper deck and lower patio have very comfortable furniture and provide wonderful outdoor gathering space.We hope to be back next year!!

Great getaway

Everything was lovely! We enjoyed the quietness of the lake and were very happy to “unplug” and be outside. Preparing meals for 9 adults was so easy with 2 well stocked kitchens. Owners really thought of everything to make our stay so enjoyable!

Home away from home

Our stay was perfect! This place had everything you could possibly need and more. A home away from home so comfortable and relaxing. Jody is amazing !!! She goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and carefree She is always available and responsive. I would highly recommend staying here! We will be definitely be back for another stay. Thank you Jody for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great place for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration with our kids and grandkids. Upon arriving, the curb appeal was not that great...weedy front yard, portable dog kennel by front door, dirt driveway. But open the front door and it all changes! Beautiful interior that the pictures don't do justice. The outdoor space was awesome! The lake is a bit mucky, but didn't stop us from enjoying it with the kayaks and paddleboards provided. The owner was very responsive and checked to make sure all was ok. Overall, a great place.

Excellent home and experience

The host was very informative and helpful. The home was fabulous - beautiful, offered high quality materials and with many amenities, and was very clean. Lake is beautiful - very clear water with bass fishing available, had loons and a bald eagle. Setting is very quiet and peaceful. Is in a fairly remote area but only 30 mins from Manistee and Ludington. We will definitely consider going again.

This house was great. We have been doing this for 35 years and this house is in the top 5 that we have stayed at. To start with it has 5 bedrooms,3 baths,2 kitchen that has everything you need from pots and pan to the panty is fully stock. 2 decks that has more furniture then my house.A blackstone grill and a 6 burner gas grill.U are just steps away from the lake. Great place to stay give it a 10

Absolutely Warming

When we arrived the outside of the house was very beautiful and when we opened the door the house was very stunning and clean and well equipped with anything you needed. Back of the house had 2 levels for outside sitting along with 2 fire pits and a sitting area down by the water.. Roll boat and canoe if you decide to go out on the clean lake. Jodi the hostess was absolutely wonderful!!!!!!

Gun Lake Stay

Our family was welcomed at the Gun Lake home this past August. We had a beautiful stay. The home was well stocked with everything you need. From the kitchen/bathroom supplies to the fun activities outside. Our Gun Lake stay was truly a home away from home for the week. The home is very clean. The lake is mucky and recommended water shoes for the property/water. Our kids loved fishing right off the dock. They caught lots of fish! We did spend days on Lake MI because it is roughly 25-30 minutes away and enjoyed Jodi's local suggestions for food/shopping.

Gun Lake

Our first impression, as we pulled into the driveway, was a little lackluster. The front yard hadn’t been mowed, there was a garbage bag leaned up against the side of the garage, and a huge dog kennel was sitting outside the front door blocking the view to the front door. The garbage can itself sat out by the road, completely full when we arrived, and remained until the day before we left. We were limited to putting our garbage for 8 people in 2 black trash bags during our 5 night stay.The lake was fun and refreshing, but needs some attention. The mat to walk into the lake was completely covered with mud and debris. Most of the outside areas looked neglected, really. Being on vacation, we had to spend quite a bit of time cleaning the outdoor patio furniture, upstairs and down, scrubbed the grill and utensils before using it, and chopping wood just to use the fire pit.Once inside the property, we loved all the space and amenities. Cupboards were stocked like the owners had just left. We had a hard time finding room for the groceries we brought with us! Lastly, we were excited to have so many appliances to make coffee throughout the day, but it took a long time to brew a pot and had to start it 20-30 min. ahead of time. With eight of us, we drink multiple pots within a day. The bedrooms were comfortable and we really enjoyed birdwatching!If you’re looking for a place to accommodate a large group to hang out, fish, paddle boat, birdwatch, etc. in close proximity to Manistee and Ludington, this may be the place for you!
