The house was much bigger inside than it seemed in the photos. All types of little touches were available such as tea and coffee etc. The host was incredibly responsive to any questions that we had. The parking is unbelievably close to the front door and this made unpacking and packing the car very very easy.

This was an awesome place to stay close to Fredericksburg. We did not notice any of the issues outlined in previous reviews. Beds were comfortable, house was very clean, and we enjoyed our stay here quite a bit. Communication with the host was hassle free and the check in process was easy. We would absolutely stay here again if we were in the area.

I can't rate anything about this stay since it never happened. I booked this over a month in advance. I was updated with the address during the week of the trip and with the access key code the day before only to find when we arrived at the house around 5:30PM after 7 hours of driving it was already occupied. The people in the house were on the phone with the host who told me "sorry he had double booked the house" Traveling with my wife and an 85 lb Boxer i had no choice but to drive another 7 hours to get home. I really don't understand how this could happen. I will never book with this host again

We came for the weekend, we arrived around 1:30 and asked the host if he could accommodate our early arrival. We knew that it might not have been possible but figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. He said he would get back with us after checking with the cleaners. When we were driving by there was no one at the house. He text around 2pm and said we were okay to check in at 3pm. When we arrived, there was dust and grime on the counters and dish drying rack. The freezer was dirty and had hair in the bottom. When we first flushed the toilet we had to use the plunger because it was clogged. The bed in the main bedroom was out from the wall and behind was dirty. The back porch was iffy with some nails and loose (rotten) boards. The host attributed the dirty mess to the cleaners not having the amount of time needed since we called early. We did like the face that it was 10 mins to downtown and other areas.

We traveled from out of town for my grandmother‘s funeral. It was the perfect oasis we needed during our difficult time. The host was amazing with communication and making sure we had everything we needed during our stay.The house and backyard were more than we expected.. highly recommend! Will definitely book again.

Short ‘n sweet

The house was really great for our stay. Very nicely equipped coffee station, rooms were comfortable, and there were even food & water bowls for our dog. Everything was clean and welcoming. It was just what we needed and we would definitely stay here again, the next time we come to town. Thank you! The unexpected snow was only moderately cleaned up - which made the driveway and steps a bit slippery/dangerous; however, I wouldn’t hold it against them at all given it’s so, so uncommon in the area to get that kind of snow. Overall a very well-run home and great place to stay.

Friendly and responsive communication - The house fit our needs

The house was a bit older, but it fit our needs well. All the communications were fast, friendly., and very accommodating. If we were to go back to Fredericksburg we would stay here again.

Misleading listing and unhealthy environment

The home is in serious disrepair. The two bedrooms were clean, but the indoor air environment was truly horrific with seven glade plugins in a very small space. It was impossible to air the house out and we both got severe headaches from the odor. The house is undergoing repairs, many parts are crumbling. The bathroom had a serious mold smell. The flooring was soft in some areas. Half of the house was filled for storage. The backyard and deck was full of leaves. It was a horribly depressing place to stay. It’s not that close to downtown, you have to drive or pay $50 for an Uber.

Wedding Weekend

My parents & I stayed here during a family wedding weekend. We found the place to be clean and comfortable - shower has great water pressure (a big plus). It served our purposes well. Location is good too - right off the main road. Just an fyi - front door sticks - needs a little oomph to open.
