‘Valley View’ is a beautifully converted Cornish barn offering space, privacy and easy access to coastal walks, beaches and Falmouth’s vibrant harbour town.
Set among gardens and farmland at the entrance to a small square of cottages, the house combines period character with modern comforts. Highlights include a striking double-height lounge with exposed beams, stonework and wood burner, a large kitchen-diner opening onto the garden, and French doors that flood the space with light.
The property sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups. Downstairs is a twin bedroom, cloakroom and utility area. Upstairs you’ll find two king-size bedrooms each with an en-suite, plus a further double bedroom and a full family bathroom.
Outside, guests can relax in a five-person hot tub with a roof, rinse off in the outdoor shower, or enjoy meals on the patio with a gas barbecue and outdoor dining area. There’s plenty of private parking, an EV charger, and a secure shed for bikes, surfboards or paddleboards.
The house is dog-friendly, with immediate access to farm walks and the coastal path via a private locked gate. From here it’s around a 10-minute walk to Maenpoth Beach and 15 minutes to Swanpool Beach both with cafes, water sports and seasonal bars.
Valley View Barn is perfectly placed for exploring Falmouth and Penryn including the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, as well as the celebrated gardens of Glendurgan, Trelissick and Trebah. Sailing, boat trips along the Fal and Helford rivers, golf and coastal walking are all close by, with excellent pubs and waterside restaurants in the vicinity.
Also ideal for winter and festive breaks, the barn offers a peaceful rural setting with the sea, beaches and lively Cornish towns just minutes away.
This barn sits on the farm where I grew up, and creating this space has been a personal project; sharing a part of Cornwall that means a lot to me.
The property is a 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom detached residence with its own private access. There is a key safe for self check in. The host can also show you around the property on arrival if preferred. The house has two main garden areas. ‘Valley View’ is found at the end of a farm lane just off the road to Maenporth Beach. Guests are allowed to roam on the farm lanes. They can also access the coastal path via a secure gate.
