Misleading information
While Franck seemed very nice, he may be unorganized. VRBO said he would contact me 3 days before arrival. Not hearing from him, I called the day before. I did not receive a text he then said he would send.
Knowing the address, we found directions on Google. We had to call Franck again to determine how to get into the house. All very confusing as the photo of the front is not where you enter.
Several things in the VRBO listing were false or misleading. Most importantly, amenities listed include parking. There is no parking on the property. Street parking costs $45 for 5 1/2 hours IF you can find a spot. Another traveler told us about a lot nearby for $10 a day. There is a washing machine, but it is across the alley and a neighbor has the key. We never saw an ironing board. We were charged a cleaning fee even though housekeeper is listed as included.
Photos of the interior are accurate, but a photo of the narrow, winding stairs was not included. We are very mobile for early 70s, but many people would be apprehensive. House has 3 floors. 1 bedroom and bath on 2nd floor, 2 bedrooms on 3rd. Bedrooms nicely decorated and linens nice. Plenty of dishes, glassware, pots, etc. 2 dishwasher pods but no dishwashing liquid or hand soap to get started. A Dyson vacuum half full of dirt and a pair of old slippers and other junk was stuffed in a corner of the kitchen. Other of Franck's renters knocked on our door with similar problems locating their apt and thinking free parking.
