Our recent stay at this property was a disaster. The house was filthy, with a sweltering temperature of 80 degrees when we arrived and windows that either refused to open or were missing window cranks, making it impossible to cool down. The doors and handles were broken, including a fallen inside door handle and non-latching screen doors, which was a nightmare with two young kids. We found rodent traps in the pantry, low water pressure in the bathrooms, and a hot tub that was filthy, surrounded by exposed rebar. The homemade spiral staircase was rickety, and the property was littered with safety hazards, including screws and nails sticking up from the garden area. The property's condition was unacceptable, but the false accusation of damaging a mattress and rug, which were already stained and dirty when we arrived, was the final straw. The property manager's withholding our deposit based on old stains and dirty rugs was appalling. VRBO's lack of assistance in resolving the issue was the final insult. We strongly advise future guests to document the property's condition upon arrival to avoid potential disputes. Do not trust this property owner or manager. We would not recommend this rental, and we encourage others to steer clear of this property. The property owner and manager's negligence and dishonesty are a threat to the safety and well-being of their guests. Avoid this property at all costs.
