Canyon Country Lodge is just an AAA+++ property in Escalante. Rooms and spacious and well appointed. Staff are excellent. Cannot beat the location! Highly recommended!

The good. The hotel is very nice and has an indoor pool and jacuzzi we used. They also had a free breakfast which was nice. We just used this as a stopover and ate at a restaurant in the little town called the outfitters for great pizza. The bad. We had hope to do the slot canyon tours there but realized escalante didnt really have any tours there to do it. The tour was out of Bryce which was an hour away so that didnt make sense. And there were no rental atvs or anything to get there because it was a long gravelly unpaved road about 10 miles to get there. We didnt want to use the rental car on a long bumpy road. So we felt we kind of wasted a day there. Other than that the hotel is very nice to stay at, probably the best one in this little town

After a long day of travel we were very happy to find this gem in Escalante! It was bright and airy, with beautiful decor and large rooms. The pool and hot tub were excellent. We even ate in the hotel restaurant and had a delicious meal. There is not much in the town but we were just between national parks so went on the next day.

Very beautiful facility - the entry reminds me of a National Park Lodge. Met the owner and some of him family - very hands on … and it shows. Highly recommend! (And I never do that!)

Just needs an elevator

Hot tub was very welcome after a long day in the national parks, as was the breakfast the following day. Only dropped a star overall as there is no elevator so you have to carry all your bags upstairs.
