It was a very nice stay, but the room and bathroom were too small. There was no coffee machine in the room, one has to ask for it. And if your wife comes with you, you pay double. Not logical. Other than that, it is a nice and close by hotel.

Booked a junior suite through hotels.com. When we arrived, we were told that we had only booked the suite for one guest. This was booked as a bed and breakfast rate. We were told by the hotel that we had to pay double. Same room. One bed. Double the price. The hotel itself is more or a 3 star than 5 star. Quite run down and tatty. Staff not at all proactive and quite glum. The spa doesn’t match the pictures. It’s all very faded and worn.

This hotel is an absolute gem. It has the ability to feel like an old world resort, but modern at the same time. The attention to detail is the definition of understated luxury. Everything from the bath towels and water pressure, to the finishings show that this is a property that cares. Fantastic staff (Christian D. in the restaurant was a phenomenal waiter) and food. The breakfast and dinner services were outstanding. Also outstanding was the spa. Nothing beats heading to the heated outdoor pool, indoor whirlpool and sauna after a day of skiing. Amazing experience and I can't recommend them enough.

This is a lovely hotel close to the centre of Zell am Zee. We got a warm welcome at check in. Our room 231) was huge with a great view of the mountains. The hotel has good leisure facilities. Some downsides - breakfast was poorly organised (there was confusion on both days we stayed about our designated table and on the second day they placed us next to the dirty dishes) - the staff at breakfast were rude (when we explained we didn’t want tea or coffee the waitress laughed at us) - our room was too hot and we had to sleep with the window open (in February!) - the signage in the spa area is confusing (perhaps some in English would help) Overall though a good hotel.

Good choice!

It's really a good choice. The bar is great and the barman is very kind. The room had a good space, with sofa, chair, table, very nice. The bathroom had a good size too, only the shower was too small. The restaurant has good meal and the service is perfect! The breakfast has a lot of options. The SPA looks nice, I didn't have time to try it. The pool is perfect to relax.

We stayed here in 'shoulder season' in October, for our 20th anniversary. Front desk staff went out of their way to give us local information, direct our travels, etc Very personal service. Lovely, relaxing bar. Spa was wonderful, outdoor pool was great. Would return in a heartbeat.

Understated elegance

This was by far the loveliest hotel I have ever stayed at. Nothing was overlooked in making our stay enjoyable. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly , the grounds were immaculate and beautiful and the pools and spas were second to none. Pictures of the pools and gardens can not do it justice. The couple that own the hotel are on site and attend to every detail. Awesome in every way

The Best Spa Hotel

This was a long weekend break. Our second visit (the first being 2 years ago). Both times mid September. We had a 50sq. m suite which was excellent. The hotel facilities are superb and everything well maintained and spotless. The food is very much 5* I absolutely recommend eating in the restaurant. Everything from buffet breakfast to the gourmet evening meal is of the highest standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Spa Hotel

We stayed for 5 nights in a suite. It was very well appointed. The hotel facilities were excellent. and the staff were excellent. Always polite and had time for any help or query we had. The hotel was situated near the lake and it was a great location. The food was simply amazing.
