This first-floor condo enjoys a quiet location amidst some of the island's loveliest scenery. You'll be less than two miles from Moran State Park, a spectacular expanse where you can go for a paddle on Cascade Lake or climb Mt. Constitution to get one of the best views of Mt. Baker and the San Juan Islands. The island's main town of Eastsound, offering great restaurants, a bakery, shops, and a grocery store, is only six miles north, and the ferry terminal is within a 14-mile drive.
It's glorious to begin each day here, deciding whether to spend it hiking, kayaking, whale watching, or taking a scenic drive. There's no kitchen, but you can prepare a simple breakfast using the mini-fridge, convection oven, and coffee maker. In the afternoon, come home to sip a glass of wine on your balcony, plan tomorrow's hike using the complimentary WiFi, or watch a favorite movie in the warmth of the fireplace. And although there is no washer/dryer, a well-maintained laundromat awaits in town.

We arrived at unit XXXXA at 7:40 p.m. and were finally able to enter an hour later. Vacasa had sent me 10 emails before our arrival, all with the wrong unit number (XXXXA) and incorrect check-in instructions. It was dark and raining, and after spending about 15 minutes trying to get in, I called Vacasa. It took 10 minutes to reach an operator and another 10 minutes for the property manager to call me back.
To make matters worse, the instructions directed us to a unit two doors to the left (XXXXA), referenced a lobby that doesn't exist, and provided the wrong keypad code. While we were stuck outside, we met some neighbors who had experienced the exact same issue the day before.
After 10 minutes on the phone, we were able to reset the code and finally enter. No apologies were offered for the inconvenience.
On a positive note, the room is clean and as advertised. The appliances and kitchenware are new, the view is nice, and the neighbors are respectful. I hope Vacasa reviews their own instructions and fixes these issues after reading this review.
