The property was amazing inside and out. The pool and beach areas were wonderful. The inside of the house was also great, very well stocked. Couldn’t have asked for a better property. Louise was a gem to work with, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

A slice of paradise

We had a wonderful day at White cottage. Everything worked out beautifully. The layout of the house was perfect for our group of six adults.(2 couples, 2 singles). The inside and outside of the house blend together to afford many useful outdoor spaces. In particular, we loved the large screened in back of the house in the evening, as there were some bugs, and the gazebo at the end of the dock with its hammocks during the day, which always had a beautiful breeze, we snorkeled out to the break several times, saw beautiful fish, sting rays, and several octopuses but honestly spent most of the days using the pool. We are all swimmers and really appreciated having a dedicated lap pool to get our exercise, all it was a great week. The pool is wonderful. Also the management staff was very helpful.

Amazing getaway in paradise

We enjoyed our stay at White Cottage. All of us agreed the house was an amazing, peaceful retreat in paradise. The view from the private beach and dock is simply beautiful. The house had plenty of space for our family of 11 both inside and out. There are lots of opportunities for activities on and near the property for all ages. Our young adult children loved the ocean access, corn hole, kayaks, paddle board and pool. Older adults loved the well stocked kitchen (as we cooked many meals) and ample towels in the bathrooms. Any questions or small issues were promptly taken care of by Shamar and Louise of Silver Thatch/Grand Cayman Villas. They provided 5 star service! Only suggestion is to ask what is provided for you as property had many grocery items/cleaning supplies that we didn't need to purchase. Hope to be back some day!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the greeting, to the concierge services, to mid-week clean, luxury cayman villas surpassed our expectations. The house is beautiful and perfectly fit our family. We explored all of the over island for food, sailing, activities, etc. We always enjoyed coming home to the White Cottage. The house is in pristine condition and we enjoyed every minute of being there. Luxury Cayman Villas went above and beyond to assist us and give us all of our requests throughout the week- even a sharpening block for the knives!Perks: The beds are very nice, the sound system is awesome for anytime of day, the kayak/paddleboard we used were fun, the amenities of the house are on point (from toilet paper to linens!). We wanted to stay an extra week (at least)!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WE were expecting beach front property that we could actually use. The beach in this picture is yard space and when you go down to the beach, there is 100 feet of sea weed(not your fault) but it was unusable and very potent-sulfuric smell. It made being outside unpleasant most of the time. Most of the east end of the island is covered in seaweed. This should have been revealed. We would not have chosen this home had we known. The house is great and I am sorry for this for you as I know it is a nature phenomenon. Otherwise our trip was fantastic....just had to leave to get away from the smell.

Pretty nice beach house

Overall this place was really great. The high point is the backyard. I saw in some reviews people complaining about the beach or ocean but it was great. I was surprised by how nice the beach is. Now sure the ocean had seaweed, but the beach was clean and deep, and there is a lovely dock. The pool area with palm trees looking out at the ocean, two different outdoor dining areas, all really great. The first floor layout and design was really nice and attractive. I do want to mention a couple things. Most of the doors in the house are sliding non-locking barn door style doors, including into bathrooms, and they don't fit super tight, so as you walk by you can catch a glimpse. I do not know why they chose this door system but I am not a fan. The master bedroom has a normal locking door but I think that is the only one. In the master bath there is an open shower without a full enclosure, and an open toilet without any enclosure, there is also not any sort of door between the bedroom and the bathroom, just a hallway with a closet. I know some couples are cool with using the toilet out in the open, but not everyone is, so that is sort of inconvenient. The master shower was the main problem on our trip. They talk up in the listing how its this spa thing etc etc but there is no water pressure to it. The main shower head produces a trickle and the body jets and wand, when turned on, produce a dribble. The shower was barely functional for cleaning for someone with short hair, for someone with long hair forget about it. It isn't a problem with the property, the other bathroom on the first floor has amazing water pressure. The spa system in the master has an nonworking LCD screen on it, so I suppose maybe there may be electronic control on one of the valves that isn't working because there is no power, or there is a busted valve, or some sort of installer error. They knew about it prior to our arrival and we mentioned it a couple times to staff while we were there. I really hope they get it fixed -- the property is truly lovely, but not having a good master shower really takes it down. The only other thing I would say is that the 2nd floor bedrooms are sort of meh, they have windows facing the sides not the ocean. Putting in windows facing the ocean would have been some serious work, it'd require dormers because of the roof line. Overall I still gave it four stars, it is a really nice convenient location in the middle of the island.

We had issues finding a home with a nice beach in Grand Cayman, but this one was perfect. The dock was amazing! We did have some issues with the gate, screen door, and pool lights, and the team did their best to resolve. But, the home accommodated our group of 9 people well, and was truly beautiful.

First off, the privacy this location offers in superior to any vacation home I have ever stayed it. While in the backyard I felt like we were in an oasis. No one was ever walking on the beach and the yard is surrounded by beautiful vegetation. You are not close to the touristsy locations or restaurants so be prepared to travel. But that is why I loved this location. It was away from the hustle and you can truly relax. The house itself had very comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchen was stocked with everything in my home kitchen and more. I felt right at home! Plus, the Luxury Cayman Vacation Team was wonderful to work with. They were super accommodating with all our requests. Our stay here was one of my favorite vacations EVER.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Every single element was perfect from booking to adding activities to our stay. Alecia and Shamar were so helpful prior to the trip! Our on-site manager gave us a great welcome tour and was so helpful throughout our stay. Literally the only complaint I heard from our group of 8 ladies was about the wifi. It barely worked, especially with all of us on it at once. The whole house is super tech-savvy and SONOS is wired in every room. The only downside is that the music only works when connected to wifi, so several times we were unable to play music. But really, that's the most silly complaint ever! One of the BEST amenities in our opinion was the free use of paddleboards, kayaks, etc. We had the best time out on the ocean and really didn't need to leave the house at all. But if you do leave the house, definitely get brunch at Anchor & Den in the Marriott Hotel (AMAZING!!!). 7 Mile Beach is about a 25-30 minute drive so we had a car rental. I think a car rental is necessary for this area of the island!OH, and the concierge staff even organized last minute massages for us! They were able to have someone to the house within two hours of our request. That was actually one of the highlights of our trip. We also highly highly recommend the private oceanfront yoga class for your group!We would definitely use Luxury Cayman Villas again and would definitely stay at the White Cottage again!!!

Loved the screened area, the pool was exceptional. Cute little lizard was always there to greet us every day by the pool. The place was clean. The kitchen was full of every possible appliance and gadget except a good ice machine. The lighting was stunning. Loved the music and speakers. The sup, kayak, and 2 snorkels were so great. Xbox for kids nice touch. negatives...Wish the tvs in bedroom were bigger and cable ready. The gate area was very difficult to drive over without scraping rental car. The thermostats must be programmed and kept resetting to 79. Power went out 2 times but back on quickly. Greatest vacation ever!!!!

The inside space was comfortable and luxurious. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented many vacation homes, this was by far one of the best. So comfortable, with all the mod cons. The location was excellent, we enjoyed many hours kayaking out on the water. What always sets the homes apart, for us, is the amenities. The AC was ice cold, the beds extremely comfortable, and the showers wonderful - excellent stay - I wish we had stayed a few days longer.

BREATHTAKING!!!

7 of us (ages 10-66) had the pleasure of staying at White Cottage. The property was gorgeous and the location was stunning. We had the entire stretch of beach to ourselves, only seeing 1 other person walk by in the early morning. Kids had a blast- ping pong, swimming pool with a basketball net, couldn't ask for more. For the adults, total tranquility, relaxation, and beautiful Riedel burgundy glasses for the wine enthusiasts. No need to leave the property, but if you do, Big Tree BBQ up the road is the place to go! Overall, it was definitely the most unexpected surprise. The villa looks great in the pictures, but to see it first hand is something simply breathtaking. I only wish that it was mine! Would definitely recommend this villa to anyone, especially those traveling with a family looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of island living! This is one trip that we will never forget.

Dreamy home

This glam home exceeded our expectations! Our favourite parts were: incredibly comfy beds, modern and fun decor, quiet and secluded beach, amazing screened in patio for dinners at night with the whole family. Kids loved it! We will come back as soon as we have the chance!!

Beautiful Cayman Escape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first visit to Grand Cayman. Our check in experience couldn't have been easier. The staff met us at the house and walked us through house features. The house is in a quieter part of the island, which is what we were looking for. The water access isn't quite as clear as some areas but the kayak and paddle board were perfect to get out and explore on. The house is just stunning and we enjoyed the huge patio so much!
