Family LOVE & Laughter

The Lake Rider was everything we had hoped for and more! The lake access with the new dock and stone patio was amazing. We were all able to gather in one place and enjoy priceless time together. We swam, fished, ate delicious food and played a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit! The house was very well stocked, and the bedroom layout was perfect for our large group. We loved it so much, we have already booked for 2026! Till Next Year, The Edwards Family

Great Hiuse

We love Lake Rider and have rented the house twice now. The house is perfect for our needs with plenty of room for everyone a d the ability to spread out upstairs and the game room/family room down stairs. We appreciate being able to all eat together at the large dining table. There is also plenty of seating outside on the spacious deck. The view from the house over the lake is beautiful. The location in the clean cove is perfect for long swims without worrying about speeding boats. We appreciated the new dock and patio nearby. We highly recommend this house and hope to return in the future.

Lovely stay in this beautiful house!

We had a great time at this gorgeous house! It suited our needs really and had plenty of space for our large group. Though our winter visit didn't allow us to get out on the water, we loved the views over the frozen lake and listening to the ice "sing" as it shifted and cracked. We had a few issues come up (landscapers there when we arrived, no hand soap, toilet not flushing, stove not lighting), but the team was prompt in addressing these and took care of us. We hope to come back again next year!

We’ve stayed at this property several times over the past few years. Overall, we love the house and is proximity to fast food and grocery stores in addition to the layout of the house and the views! The kitchen seemed to have a few things missing compared to our last stay - casserole dishes for cooking, working can opener - but otherwise it’s decently well stocked. Our biggest thumbs down this time was the cleanliness of the place. The coffee pot and microwave looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The oven also hadn’t been cleaned in a while and made the whole house smell like something was burning every time we pre-heated it. There were clumps of hair found all over the house, rugs, etc and the rug in one of the bathrooms looks like it hadn’t been cleaned or vacuumed in several visits. All in all, we love the house and feel like it’s “home away from home” at this point but we were slightly disappointed with it this time around. We’ll definitely be back but hope it will be cleaner at our next stay.

The new dock is a big improvement and we much appreciated how stable it is. The stone patio is very nice and welcoming for hanging out and toasting s’mores. I think it’s time to replace the mattress in the lake side bedroom on the top floor. It’s shot and you sink deep down and feel swallowed up after 15 minutes. Something firmer is needed. Definitely causes a backache. The silverware is needing more knives and forks and spoons. We ran the dishwasher every day at least once and often twice because we were out of enough silverware. Six to eight people aught to be able to eat two meals before running the dishwasher. Otherwise, the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, etc. The ladder on the dock could use an upgrade, even though it’s new. The house next door has a ladder with wider treads and is angled out. That would be a nice improvement for getting in and out of the water. This is our second stay at the Lake Rider and we hope to rent it again next August. It’s a lovely home.
