Escape the everyday and get back to basics! This rustic style cottage has views overlooking the bay at Diggers Camp - a very unique and highly recommended location accessed via an unsealed (though regularly maintained) road and nestled within Yuraygir National Park. This beach cottage has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom with a small entertaining deck overlooking the headland and is ideal for a small family looking for a secluded getaway. Sit back on the deck and watch the emus and kangaroos stroll by!
For those who have not been before, Diggers Camp is a truly special getaway from the everyday. There are just a few houses on the headland and it is surrounded by beautiful bays and stunning walks. The National Park boasts long stretches of quiet beaches and abundant local flora and fauna. The main beach is a short stroll down a wide track and features a tidal lagoon which is ideal for children. The beach is also great for surfing, snorkelling and fishing.
The nearest town is Wooli which has an array of amenities and is just 8 kms away. The village of Diggers Camp is 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Coffs Harbour and just under 2 hours south of Ballina.

Our week at Diggers
Diggers is a beautiful spot and we would definitely return but not stay at The Blue Groper. The place was filthy with a lot of mouldy furniture/curtains and mouldy/dirty kids toys under all the beds. The managing agents were great at getting a cleaner in the next day but he didn't do that great a job.
The bunk beds were comfy but the double bed was old and uncomfortable.
On the plus side the oven/stove was great, decent sized fridge and lots of undercover clothesline to hang all our beach stuff. Location is brilliant too.

Excellent beach escape
Our stay at the Blue Groper was the perfect beach getaway! We were relaxed in the beach shack style home. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The home was well equipped and positioned perfectly for a quiet beach break.
