Paradise with a view
Had a bit of a problem finding the place after a long plane trip and drive. They had a bottle of planter punch for us in the fridge. Great location: quiet with a view of the ocean. Accommodations as advertised. Clean & secure. Kitchen lacked some items for cooking like a sharp knife, oven tray, etc., but we made due. Being from Canada, we had some problem using the European appliances. We did eventually figure them out, but instructions would have been nice. The main problem we had was that the spin cycle on the clothes washer didnât work so all the close came out sopping wet and needed to be wrung out and hung to dry for two days. After a few calls, eventually someone came out and confirmed that the appliance was not working. It took two days for a replacement machine. So basically we didnât have a washer for the first week and we were running out of clothes. It was great that they replaced it as quickly as they could, but in the end we didnât get what we paid for so a small rebate would have been appreciated. Another problem we had was that cell phone coverage was virtually non-existent at the accommodations. Cell phone coverage was generally poor in Guadeloupe even with a local SIM card. Otherwise everything else was fine and we would return to this location.
