Moved to the motel
The bungalow that was listed ended up unavailable the weekend we rented. There was a misunderstanding between us and the owner and even though it still showed we were staying in the bungalow, we were given the option of the old motel next to it... she is currently in the process of renovations in both locations from our understanding. The properties are at the intersection of two main highways in town, so there was constant traffic noise and a train that goes through town between 11pm and midnight blowing its whistle the entire way. The property we stayed in did not have deadbolts on any of the main floor doors. We appreciated the tips on where to eat and go kayaking. The owner was very quick to respond. The neighbors were also friendly. Wish she would have officially canceled our initial reservation so we could have seen and decided if we wanted to stay in the motel property prior to us arriving and having few other options.
