I kept hearing the door across the hall. It kept waking me up and sounded like it my door’s lock being messed with. When the guest across settled down I was able to get to sleep.

Tru By Hilton was a great place to stay. The staff were all polite and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our stay there. The only thing that would have been better is the parking situation. We paid $15/day which was not bad, but we were not guaranteed a parking spot. I found that to be an issue. Once, I was directed by staff to park in a handicapped spot because no other spots were open. That’s the only thing that would have made a great stay even better!

VERY little parking! Only one small parking lot for a 9 story hotel. They charge $15 a day for you to park your own car, if you can find a spot! I was told to go park in the last available handicap spot because there were no other spots. Afterwards I saw there were cars being parked behind other cars so now those cars couldn’t get out (this was not valet so you’d have to get ahold of another guest to come down and move their car so you could leave if you were blocked in). Once I get to the desk to check in I was told there would be a $100 hold on my card that would be refunded 3-5 business days after my checkout. I’ve always had to put a card down for incidentals but have never had a hotel put an actual pre authorization on my card. Overall not a great experience and would not book here again.

The staff was kind and efficient.. Free coffee and water all day were a big plus. Breakfast was great, but it should be extended. The rooms are spacious and clean. The rooftop bar was nice. The only downside was the noise from the highway.

Hidden Fees

I wasn't aware that there would be a $50.00 deposit plus a $15.00 parking fee. We'll receive$35.00 back. When it was time to unload and load our car there were no luggage cart, we waited 30min.. We had to take 2 trips to the car and back. Keep in mind my husband is on oxygen we were there for doctor visits and test at UTSW. We really enjoyed the view from the Monkey Bar.

The staff were phenomenal! Some of the best I have seen in the US. Kind, helpful, welcoming when we would walk in. The rooms were clean and good condition and the hotel was clean. They had a great rooftop bar that was quite popular. The neighborhood is not great -- my husband encountered a bit of a scary incident with a man on the sidewalk with a whip and unhoused people sleeping in the parking lot of the gas station next door, but there are some good restaurants and attractions -- just take Uber or Lyft.
