Location: Walking distance to Dealey Plaza. About a mile or so from Katy Trail, West Village shopping and Pecan Lodge (awesome bbq joint).
I stayed here for business. It was a cozy, boutique hotel experience. The staff was super-friendly, particularly the courtesy van drivers.

Modern & excellent

From check in to check out my friends and I only experienced top-notch service. The staff at the desk, restaurant & shuttle service were very helpful and approachable. Free shuttle service is offered within 3 miles of the hotel and we used this quite a few times throughout our stay. We were very pleased with the drivers and they gave us great local insight on the places to visit. This truly added so much to our stay. The restaurant inside of the hotel was INCREDIBLE. The complimentary breakfast which came in our package deal was unlike any other hotel. It is not buffet style. You order from a breakfast menu, which probably consisted of 10-15 options. All 3 of us couldn't stop talking about the quality and delicious taste! We ate dinner there on our last night. We ordered a sandwich & burger with fries & onion rings. Absolutely delicious. I was surprised that there were not more guests (from what we could see) that were staying there. Hotel indigo was a perfect choice for us and I highly recommend it. We will definitely be staying there again.

everything we look for when traveling

Pros: location. Beds are very comfortable. The hotel rooms do not have carpet in the rooms we liked that.
Cons: have small fridge in the room.
Location: great location nearby you will find best restaurants and entertainment you want.
great atmosphere, friendly staff, good transportation service. The rooms are clean and cozy.

Very nice hotel - staff and food was AMAZING!!

Pros: The atmosphere was relaxing and the food was awesome!
Location: Lots of local attractions! The aquarium, museums, downtown Dallas is spectacular!
We stayed one night for Mother's Day. It was AWESOME!! The food was fabulous. The staff and valet was fabulous. We will stay here again!

A Downtown Dallas Hotel with Charm

Pros: The cost was reasonable, the hotel was attractive, and the service was excellenbt.
The hotel has charm, style, comfort and convenience. Restaurant with reasonably-priced good food. An easy walk to the Sheraton Hotel Conference center. There is also free van service downtown. For a city hotel it was surprisingly quiet.

Eh. Not worth the money.

Pros: It was conveniently located, right downtown. Walked most places.
Cons: Room was tiny, upon arrival heat didnt work, thermostat made awful noises all night. Strong smell in the entry way of hotel.
Location: Great park across the street. Amazing Mexican restaurant across the street. Nice people and bars down the way..
Overall, it was clean and nicely "presented" and definitely a unique hotel but too many little qualms. The doors didn't shut- literally had to slam every single door to latch them. Room was TINY. TV was terrible picture (good thing we didn't spend much time watching it or have children with us that needed any entertainment..) Upon arrival heat didn't work at all, room was 65 degrees- maintenance had to come fix it. Then, all night a relay in the thermostat (we were told the next morning when we mentioned it) made a very loud noise each time it kicked on.. probably woke up every 30 mins. When you walk in the hotel there is a very scent, not pleasant to me, maybe to some. Breakfast was decent price but there were not many people in the place and they were slow and refilled coffee in a to go cup because they ran out almost as soon as we sat down and didn't have more until we left (45 mins later.) No parking. (parking garage across the street, only took VERY crisp 5$ bills and no attendant on the weekends?) Overall, I wouldn't stay again. Staff was pleasant but for the cost I would stay at a chain of hotels where the standards are higher.

My daughter stated for a long weekend for her 24th birthday. They all loved the hotel and were upgraded to a suite when the staff heard it was her birthday!

Pros: The majority of the staff and the location.
Cons: Building maintenance!
Location: Virtually all of the museums in Dallas are located within easy walking distance. Some of the best restaurants in Dallas.
This hotel has some nice advantages but several problems. The hotel is situated in downtown Dallas with easy walking to the Arts District and excellent restaurants. It was built in 1925 by Conrad Hilton as the first Hilton Hotel in Dallas. And that's a problem. The current owners the Intercontinental Group seem to be allowing the hotel to deteriorate. At 14 stories elevators are a necessity. But 2 out of 3 of the elevators were out of service my entire stay. The room was large but awkwardly furnished with the tiny bathroom one might expect from a hotel built 90 years ago. That room was on the top floor--#14. We had a torrential rain one of the nights. This caused a leak. The staff was very helpful and moved us to another room as well as comping the valet charges for 2 nights.

Management/Owners are awful!

Pros: Nice location - could be a great hotel with new owners! Had a restaurant on site which looked nice.
Cons: Condition of lobby- needs general repair in many areas, but is a nice hotel in an older/historic building, so that is expected.
Location: Downtown location - near the DART and several nice restaurants and shops.
Fire caused evacuation and mgmt could not have been more unhelpful! Claimed the fire marshall suddenly wouldn't let guest retrieve their belongings (even though there was no active fire - transformer fire took all power, and concerns were about electrical fire starting) - guests had been allowed to get belongings, and within minutes were no longer allowed to do so. We were told we had rooms at another hotel (costs for Hotel Indigo were comped, and we would pay for the night at the new hotel at a reduced rate). Several guests had early flights/trips and were told that there was no way to get their belongings - with a "sorry honey" response. Owners even threatened a guest with calling the police to escort him out because he wanted to talk to the fire marshall!! Thankfully a nice fireman retrieved our medicine from our room and some of our toiletries (they were all in the same bag), but that's it! We left our phone number to be called when we could get our things as we had NOTHING in the way of clothes to change into after a long, hot day out in Dallas-we had to leave for a nice event at 7am (which was 3 hours away)...no call came! We stopped by on our way out of town and were able to grab clothes to change - but almost missed out event due to the delay! Never got a call that the hotel had restored power and we could come back. When we got back the few things that were left in the room were gone-the room was made up for new guests even though we had a 3 night stay booked!

We apologize that these events took place and caused such an unpleasant experience. As you mention there was a power failure and the Fire Marshall closed the property due to safety concerns. Once safe, we escorted guests to retrieve belongings by permission of the Fire Marshall.
