Disappointing
Two hours before arrival, yes two hours before arrival was informed a bed was not usable. When I replied we need a usable bed I was told to put the mattress on the floor to sleep or use a blow up mattress. I paid for beds to sleep on not put something on the floor. I took it upon my self to repair the bed to make it usable. The next morning was informed by my son his bed ( a different bed) was horrible. When I took a look it was crooked, I took the mattress & box spring off to find the frame was not adjusted correctly and the box spring was falling through. The other bed in this same room had a worn out mattress which made it horrible to sleep on as well. I switched the mattresses to make each bed worthy of a decent night sleep. When I addressed the issue with the owner I did receive apologies. I expressed my discontent with the property, again apologies. I expressed there needs to be compensation for the property not being up to the condition expected for our stay. After several prods to get a resolution the owned did give a discount which was appreciated as well as fair. The issue then became the timeliness of the refund as well as security deposit. Neither was issued in the time line expressed by the owner. I expressed to the owner whom had been expressing the desire for a 5 star review many times that I was not having a five star experience. If you tell me you are going to do something within a certain time frame…. Do it. Redundancy is unnecessary.
