Awesome swimming pool

Cons: I do wish they would update the rooms a little. They REALLY need to get stronger, better wifi for in the guest rooms!!!
Hotel Cozumel and Resort is a great place to stay! Close enough to town to walk, they have an awesome swimming pool and offer all inclusive or non all inclusive meal options.

I stayed here for four days for the Ironman event and found it very good. They accommodated the needs of the athletes and were very helpful in a non invasive manner. I did not take the all inclusive option but ate most of my meals there anyway. The food was good and plentiful. Rooms were simple and clean. My room did not have a fridge but I think the option exists if requested.

Tunnel to the beach

Pros: Super clean and quiet.
Location: Within walking distance to town. Yummy food and drink. The beach is right across the street and a tunnel runs under the street from hotel to beach.
Had a great relaxing time! Loved this vacation :) Visited the shops and restaurants in town. Enjoyed participating in Mardi Gras. The pool was beautiful and activites were offered for kids and adults. Ready to go back right now!

GOING THROUGH Travelosity....

Pros: The individual worker people were very nice. Food not great and we paid $37 per day, each person, to eat so-so food.
Location: Travelosity's website and information could have avoided all this misunderstanding. The hotel was a so-so hotel, but you get what you pay for.
Going through Travelosity, this All-Inclusive hotel suddenly became NOT INCLUSIVE for food and drinks. the Travelosity details said only Breakfast was not included "BUT MAY NOT INCLUDE ALL DETAILS". My spending money for fun now became meal money to limp through this vacation week. I am not at all happy with the misinformation on the Travelosity website which also said my included American flight would not charge for 2 bags - but they did to the tune of $130 extra expense per trip.

Great Location with basic accomodations

This hotels provides basic room accommodations. The room itself was not very fancy, had two double beds with very firm mattresses, a nightstand with an alarm/radio, a tube TV, a small table with two chairs and a dresser. The furniture looked worn (not broken). The AC worked great and the WiFi was fine when it worked (it was down twice during our week long stay). Some of the highlights of this Hotel are the staff, they are great and very friendly. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job of cleaning the room daily and they made these little animal figures with the towels daily and decorated them with flowers. The food was OK, I would say the breakfasts and snack bar during the day were pretty good with dinner being the weak point. It was not bad but not at the same level we had seen at a bigger resort in Cancun. Probably because the Hotel is smaller some of the food gets reheated from one meal to another and not as tasty as fresh food. Overall for the price it was not a bad deal I must say. If you are into Scuba then the hotel has deals for divers and the diving outfit is right across the street. The Hotel is very close to downtown so you can either walk or take a cab (about $3 one way). There is not much of a beach to the Hotel but you can do some snorkeling right there and there is some neat stuff to see. While the rooms did not impress us much and the food was so so, I would definitely go back due to the friendliness and great job by the staff and the great location of the Hotel. The way we see it you don't go on vacation to spend it inside a room and it was a great base for our activities which included laying by the pool, a visit to the San Geronimo ruins, Scuba diving, snorkeling, a visit to Chankanaab park (wonderful snorkeling) and a visit to a beach on the south east side of the island (Chen Rio).

Love Hotel Cozumel

Pros: Free Internet
The staff is very accomodating and goes out of their way to make sure you have everything. Diving is right across the street using the underground access tunnel. The Dive Masters are great. Not a fancy place, but very comfortable, for the price.

second time to stay here and we have already booked our next trip to stay here again

Pros: nice beach area and pier
This hotel is pretty nice. It has a big pool with a bar and grill by it. The grill is open from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm everyday so you can eat whenever you get hungry. The bar is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. once the other facilities open for dining you are set to relax and enjoy a good meal. The rooms are larger then most in Cozumel and I see that they do not have coffee pots in each room but will finish a pot if you request one. Of course you can then walk about 7 blocks to the store and purchase coffee and anything else you might need. The manager at the front desk Raul is very nice and the other staff around the pool have daily activities for all guest and they even put on nightly shows. yes I recommend this hotel and will stay here on my next trip.

Hotel staff was very friendly.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants
Cons: food was the same everyday., rooms were noisy.
The hotel was nice. The beds were concrete and we ended up buying pillows. Water was rusty in the bathrooms. They don't have ESPN or any American channels for news on the TV. The only TV that had Sports was in the bar and the staff watched soccer at night. Entertainment was excellent and the staff did a good job getting people involved in games around the pool. Good place if you are a diver.
