Overall, the house was generally a good fit for our extended family and the location and access to the beach was great. The house was not as clean as it should have been. It needs a good, thorough deep cleaning. The metal chairs in the dining room are very uncomfortable and could easily be replaced. Some bathrooms were updated, but some are not and the lighting in them was not very good at all. The upper floor bath should definitely be updated! The 4-6pm check in time was a nuisance, as the house was not ready until 5:00 & we had to call to see about accessing the house. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and all that a large group needs for a vacation. Bath towels were less than desirable & the cleaning crew could have at least hung them instead of leaving them in plastic. We found that to be very odd. The pool and hot tub were nice and used every day by our group. However, the pool deck had a lot of leaves, sand, debris that should have all been removed before our stay. The house location is great as far as being close to the Harris Teeter Grocery store and some restaurants. We had a problem with the 2nd floor AC unit and maintenance came out in a reasonable amount of time and provided box fans for us. We had a great vacation and love the Outer Banks, but will not stay at this property in the future.
