Excellent stay. Convenient location and quiet

Excellent hotel, service and location. I was there to hike the next day and was grateful for the location's convenience. The room was quite comfortable and quiet in the bed was comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back in the future.

I love the old park lodges, with the stone fireplaces and the 1940s furniture in the great room. Beautiful facility. Front desk staff could use a little training for having info about the Park.

When we first showed up i had to call the front desk to hqve them come back to re clean the room. We had to leave the next morning due to the stprms leaving the park with no electricity. And they were rude when they told us we had to.leave. i am still waiting on my refun from this trip as they said it was still going to be another week and a half before i got it.. all and all not happy

I loved everything except visit was cut short because of neighboring tornado. I think the outside of resort looked a little bit like a castle. Definitely recommend the buffet. Id seen bad reviews but i don't have any complaints. Friendly employees, comfy bed and great food. What more could you ask for?

Reception did not greet or acknowledge us when we entered. Our room did not have soap, low on body wash and without coffee cups. We arrived late, however the restaurant was still open for 1/2 hour. We were advised that they would not replenish the buffet (which we understood). Coffee was delivered cold, no one checked on us to see if we required anything. The lodge is pretty, staff were very complacent.

The park and hiking trails and waterfalls are beautiful! The lodge has a gorgeous view of the Cumberland river and nice patio to sit and enjoy it. Our room in the lodge was pretty small but clean and adequate. The bed was very comfortable. The lobby, great room and restaurant felt like scout camp. Those could be renovated and made more cozy and inviting. Staff friendly and nice.

Disgusting and Unacceptable - Do Not Stay Here

I checked into this hotel and was shocked by the conditions. There were cobwebs in the room, the carpet was stained with what looked like blood, and the beds were full of dog hair and human hair. Absolutely disgusting. The entire room smelled horrible a mix of mold, filth, and something rotten. The bathroom was broken and unusable, and the "social terrace" was dirty, depressing, and clearly not maintained. This place is completely unacceptable and should not be in operation. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone avoid it at all costs. That said, I want to highlight that Hotels.com customer service was excellent. They responded quickly, took my complaint seriously, and resolved the situation directly with the hotel in a professional and efficient way. I really appreciated their support.

Be aware that Cabin #520 is 60+ concrete/rock stairs down. We were not told about the many stairs and my spouse is a heart patient. Nor did the pictures online show all the stairs. We had to pull a few clothes out of our suitcase. The cabin was also very dirty. Mouse droppings on the floor. No doubt no one wanted to scale all the stairs to clean. The area is beautiful but cannot recommend the state park.
