Hotel ok but a reunion was going on and it became loud and you can smell pot in the hallway

Saved us money

Pros: We enjoyed the one day we stayed. The facility was excellent and provided all that we expected.
Cons: Not sure
Location: There is plenty to do in the area.
We are great full to the staff at the hotel and Travelocity for their joint cooperation in relieving us of one day stay fees. The big storm that was headed for the Wash. DC area caused us to have to cancel one day stay at the hotel. The hotel staff worked together with Travelocity, and did not charge us for the day we had booked. Thank you very much for your kindness and consideration in this matter and saving us the one day fees for the room. .

Extremely close to FedEx Field

The hotel was nice and clean. Great value. When we checked in the clerk tried to tell us we had 2 different reservations, and would have to check out, and then back in again the next day. Ugh...so she fixed that. Then she tells us that the king room we reserved and had already PAID for was not available. I would have liked to have known this before check in so it wouldn't have been a shock. They couldn't notify me of that, but I bet of my credit card hadn't went through, they would have notified me. Smh.

closest hotel to FedEx Field

Pros: room comfort
Cons: shuttle is usually free, not $15 per person - reduce the excessive money-making fee! give enuff cookies at check-in. fix restaurant issues.
Location: FedEx Field is very, VERY close
super close to FedEx Field. could almost walk if there were sidewalks to it. Nice hotel. recently taken over and remodeled. First time stay at a DoubleTree. comfortable room! the restaurant was a little confusing and service was a little slow. Only 3 families at tables. people beside us waited 35+ minutes for basic order for dinner. it took a short while for a waiter to help us. slow to get drinks. but then food came out in 10 minutes. pricey ($15 for a turkey club sandwich). gave me 2 cookies (nice touch) at check-in but there were 4 of us = made me feel that they skimping on something so minimal. then found that their internet is not free. also they offer a shuttle to local area... but then when I checked in they were charging $15 per person to use it with a sign-up sheet. I even tried to ask them about the shuttle beforehand with no replies. so for my family it would have been $60 to go 2 miles ($40 parking at field if I drive). and no guarantee of using the shuttle or getting picked up (first come first serve). so I guess this hotel chain will keep this hotel solvent by charging all kinds of little fees... i was new to the area and was a little unnerved by all the traffic and navigating around so I didn't like not feeling appreciated and being nickeled & dimed for every little item (beyond getting 2 "free" cookies).
