Our Family Stay..

We did enjoy our stay..Although arriving on Boxing Day with not one Christmas decoration insight was sad.. Everything felt bleak and empty.. Other then that we were happy with everything..

Christmas break

The property was excellent, with everything you could need. It was in a perfect location for us as we were visiting family who lived a few minutes drive away. Communication with Stuart and Kerry was super. Would love to return and explore the grounds further.

BEAUTIFUL AND IMMACULATE COTTAGE

I booked the cottage for a 2 night stay along with 4 friends to celebrate my birthday. The cottage is just incredible and the grounds equally so. It has evrything you need including a dishwasher and is very spacious. I had a dinner party for my birthday and the table seated 6 comfortably but could extend if needed. The swimming pool was also a lovely bonus for out stay. Will definitely be back again. Thank you!

Memory lane trip

Excellent in every way!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The house was exactly as described. The property is incredible, as is the main house. We loved exploring all of the different parts of the garden, including playing on the small playground. Our boys were also quite taken with the robot lawnmowers and the sheep and goats. We will absolutely look to rebook another time, perhaps when the pool is open!

Absolute gem near Colchester. It is a very comfortable property next to a large estate. The grounds are beautiful and it is off the road enough that we felt very safe. 5 stars!

Fantastic weekend base

A really lovely property that’s kept its historical feel while having all the modern necessities! It was absolutely spotless with lovely luxury toiletries. The beds were super comfy with beautiful linens. Great facilities including the games room, state-of-the-art tv and kitchen appliances. Beautiful setting, easy access to the area but fabulously quiet!

East House

Wonderful location and park environment. The house provides every amenity, both for cooking, relaxing and using as a base for surrounding area. We made several walks around the park, it was too cold for swimming! We visited two of the local pubs, and the house was a great base for family visits in Boxted and Great Tey.

Relaxing break in a great property in a tranquil location

The property was of a very high standard. The lounge furniture/beds were very comfortable and the bed linen/towels were excellent quality. The garden was very private and well kept. The walks around the grounds were lovely, it felt like you were miles from anywhere but with the added bonus of having local pubs, shops, etc. just a short drive away.I have already recommended the property to friends and would love to visit again in the future. Communication with the host was great, response time & information supplied was excellent.

Amazing.

We had such a lovely time staying here. Amazing grounds, wonderful pool, stunning cottage. Everything was high spec and fantastically clean. Will definitely stay again. Stayed with 3 young children and all were entertained and loved seeing the animals. Very friendly hosts. 🥰

Best family reunion ever

I could go on for ever about this wonderful home - made even better by Stuart Kerry and family. Nothing was too much trouble. The house was perfect incredibly clean and fresh - kitchen immaculate and well equipped- extras like the pool made it even better. We loved the walks and animals and sitting watching the sunsets from the beautiful grounds was wonderful. I really can’t think of anything to say against the property or owners! We’ll be back!

Amazing time had all round

As a group of 6 old school friends we couldn't have asked for anything more when staying at Stuart's place. There were lovely touches everywhere and the Harris' couldn't have been more hospitable and were always prompt when we had questions. Had many a great night tuning into the house Spotify and dancing around and the grounds were beautiful for walks the next day and having use of the boating lake and pool definitely added to our trip. Thanks for a fantastic trip!

An Excellent Family Break

An impressive Edwardian stately home and we stayed in a separate 3 bedroom house adjoining the property. The property we stayed in had a kitchen with all the modern facilities and all the rooms were clean and tidy. The grounds were extensive and we enjoyed feeding the very friendly goats. The pool was excellent and the owners were very accomodating. A place we would definately stay at again and would have no heistation recommeding to others.

A Beautiful Rest

A wonderful space for relaxing and having fun with friends or family. Lots of space both inside and out and beautiful grounds to explore. Amazing morning sun in the garden outside and a great space upstairs for kids or gathering as friends. Stuart and Abi were very friendly and helpful.
