Sightseeing Weekend

Pros: Very nicely appointed. Comfortable bed, large bathrooms, robes provided, etc. Very clean and up to date. Obviously well maintained.
Location: Did a walking tour with Walk Chicago. Fabulous! Saw things most people in Chicago never see or are unaware of. 1 guide, 3 people, 3 hours, 90 bucks
Chose this hotel for its proximity to what we wanted to see in Chicago as we were playing tourist with a relative visiting for his first time. It was a good choice...convenient plus clean, very well appointed, etc. We wanted to experience the city, however, so did not do any of our eating/drinking at the hotel. The exercise is impressive with a terrific view. Two negatives: there was a bar charge to our tab that was not ours; the desk clerk said that it would take a few days for her to be able to discuss it with the bar manager and then she would address the issue. We declined and asked that it be deleted immediately since we had never patronized their bar. I asked a bartender what their procedure was for allowing guests to charge to their rooms. Clearly they did not follow procedure in this particular case. The second negative was that we discovered two 100 dollar charges to our credit card after we returned home (we had two separate rooms). We called and were told that these charges were for incidentals and would be removed in five business days. No one told us either verbally or in writing that these charges would be made. We will be checking our accounts in a few days to see if they follow through.

It's not my first time staying at Swiss Hotel, but this time was different... I usually arrive to the hotel little before 3 pm and never had any problems with checking in early, this time they made me wait, i wasn't too happy but Nicole made all my disappointment to go away. She gave me the best room on the 41st floor with beautiful view. Thank you Nicole!!!

The hotel was great and the room was very clean. The only problem was the window covering was sheer and there was no dark curtains so the rooms was bright at night due to the glow from other buildings making it difficult to sleep. Hotel was great, but not sure I would stay again due to this.

Good but not catering to business.

Desk had no electric outlets on top or within easy reach. I have stayed at hotels costing much less that were in tune with the business traveler

Great place.

Really nice accommodations quiet clean and a very friendly staff if there is one downfall to my stay at the Swiss Hotel it is the $70 do valet park your car. I thought that was excessive.

Downtown Get Away

I may have only stayed for a night, but it was still a great hotel to stay at. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers who would want to be in the downtown area, and have a great Chicago experience.

Loved our stay at Swissotel

Pros: The room was very attractive, had a great view, and a comfortable bed. We were on the 32nd floor, but the elevators were very efficient and fast.
Cons: Everything was great!
Location: Great location with easy access to all the major city attractions.
We were in town for a visit and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and attentive staff and the room was excellent.
