We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this historic home, situated on the lower part of Lookout Mountain. The home was clean and would have slept four adults comfortably. The bunk beds are fulls, and fine for one adult each. The location was excellent - five minutes or so drive to continue up Lookout Mountain to places like Ruby Falls or Rock City (which were both fun if touristy), a one minute walk to the trailhead that goes right to Ruby Falls, and a 12-15 minute drive to downtown by the river. The only reason that I give the property a 4 rather than a 5 was the kitchen - it needs some attention. Knobs on the cabinets would have been easier to clean and more sanitary. Some of the pots and pans are worn beyond their useful life and the kitchen was missing some items that would have been helpful (like a large pot for noodles). We were able to make due with what was there, but we only had three people. The front porch is a lovely place for a cup of tea. We appreciated that this property included some of the little extras that are so helpful - salt and pepper, coffee, and some spices. Be careful when you back out of the driveway - it's quite a drop on the other side of the road!
