Thank you very much for your recent stay and for taking the time to post a review. While it was great to read that you enjoyed your stay (based upon your high rating), I was disappointed about the coffee pot issue. Our in-room coffee pots have a three selection switch (OFF - WARM (for the heater plate) - and ON (to brew coffee). The writing under the switch can be hard to read unless you pick up the coffee maker. The coffee maker will be checked tomorrow and replaced if needed, Your stay was greatly appreciated, and it is hoped that you will continue to favor the Days Inn by Wyndham brand as you travel.

The property allowed us an early check in as we were travelling for a funeral. The room was clean and as expected for a Days Inn. The front desk, Lori, recommended 2 restaurants that both exceeded expectations. She also provided coupons for both. Our stay was calm and had no hiccups. We appreciate the kindness of the staff during a difficult time.

I was very sorry to learn that you did not enjoy your stay. Our Front Desk was able to cross-reference your Anonymous post to a reservation. I understand that you were upset that you were assigned to a handicap accessible room versus a standard room. This was because the site you used selected that room type for you. Unfortunately, we cannot change details on third-party reservations because are screens are locked by your travel agent. You also made what is referred to as a "opaque reservation." These are unique because they tend to focus on price at the expense of specifics such as which hotel you will be staying at, type of room, number of beds, etc. I am also very sorry that you referred to our breakfast as being "horrible." We have so many items to choose from such as Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Kellogg's Raisin Bran, Carbon's Golden Waffles, Papetti Farm Eggs, Sara Lee Raisin Bread, Land-O-Lakes, Pillsbury, etc. and go to the expense of providing these top brands so that we can provide our guests with consistent quality. We provide great value because our complimentary breakfast can easily be compared with that of a chain restaurant on our street which charges $12 per person + tax and plus beverages. Again, I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, and I can sympathize with your concerns. However, we can only provide what your agent has selected on your behalf.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The building was showing its age in places, but a good value for the price. I would stay there again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This is an old facility badly in need of being torn-down and replaced. The hallway outside the room smelled of urine. It may be a non-smoking facility but someone had been smoking in the room and the heavy smell immediately was triggering an allergic reaction that could have led to an asthma attack requiring a hospital emergency room visit if we had not left immediately. Worst of all, I was refused a refund because I had not cancelled my reservation 24 hours in advance.

I was very disappointed when I read your review because it is not typical of our property. Our hotel was built back in the 1990's and operated from then until a few years ago as a Marriott-branded property. It is also one of the newer properties on our street and has been well-maintained over the years. Our hotel, like all other area hotels is indeed designated as a non-smoking property. Hotel managements do not want guests to smoke in a room because of the life-safety risk it poses along with the fact that subsequent guests may well reject the room. Unfortunately, guests sometimes cannot resist the temptation to smoke in a room. It is rare but happens. We then make sure that, in addition to the sheets, the decorative bed scarves and throws along with the pillows. The rooms itself is then treated with ozone which destroys the odors. We do not treat rooms with any chemicals because of the high number of people with allergies. Our carpets are vacuumed daily and professionally cleaned on a regular basis throughout the year. I walk the property several times daily and do not recall any instance of a urine smell. I checked all the maintenance tickets and could not find any referencing a urine smell. Please also understand that, when using a third-party, you are subject to their terms and conditions. Your anonymous posting prevented me from researching important details such as whether you stayed, what room you stayed in, whether you moved rooms, whether you expressed any concerns to the Front Desk, etc. I would urge you to contact the hotel and ask to speak with the manager because I am sure that he would like to investigate your concerns.

Aside from the room key continually malfunctioning, things went remarkably smoothly. I told management and they said it would be fixed, albeit after I departed, but it wasn't terrible, just a minor annoyance.
