everything would have been great if we could have gotten to stay there. I texted the host a week or so before arrival to see how to access the property. they responded and said that there were no bookings for march. I responded and told him that I have a conformation for 3/26 - 3/29 and heard nothing more. I arrive at the house to check in, and the key lock box was empty. I text the host to see where the key was and they responded with " did you receive my text" I responded with did you receive mine that said it was confirmed and it was paid in full? He said that someone was living in the house and he couldn't rent it out. Why was the house still on the market if you have someone living in it. Vrbo refunded my money but it too little too late. We were in town for a large sporting event and all of the hotels were booked. I had to get two hotel rooms farther away and at twice the cost for our group to stay. This was an awful experience.

We stayed at this property for a trip to Carowinds, and the location truly couldn’t be better—very convenient and close to everything we needed. The home itself is spacious, which was great for our group, but it does feel quite dated and could use some updates. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard. One of the outlets in the main bedroom looked burnt, there was a cobweb hanging over the bed, and the drawer handles were dusty. In the main bathroom, we had to clean the shower ourselves before using it, and the toilet was left dirty. The second bathroom also had dirt and hair in the tub, as well as hair on the door. Even though the rental is pet friendly, the furniture and bedding should not be full of hairs—it made the space feel unkempt. It almost felt as if someone had been living there and left right before we arrived, which was disappointing. I messaged the host with these concerns but received no response, which added to the frustration. For now, I would not book again nor recommend this place. With better cleaning, more attentive hosting, and some updates, this property could be a fantastic stay given its size and location.

Location was wonderful for what it was needed for. The cleanliness of the house was the biggest issue. Kitchen floors were dirty, and the house just needs a serious deep clean (baseboard, bathroom floors, carpets, shower/tub, etc).

House was dirty upon arrival. Hair in counters even in the microwave. Urine on all toilet seats and down the bowls. Cob web everywhere. Spiders in the bed wasp in the housre. A frog in the bath tub a window had bwen lwft open that had a bad screen eith a huge hole ..2 dressers with chunks missing. Dishes in cabinets was still dirty. While the house is located in a nice neighborhood and close to practically everything. The house does need a good cleaning. There was food in cabinets from previous guest that dates back to 2018 i took it upon myself to clean the outdated food from cabinets.

Let me start off by saying I would give this entire experience zero stars if that were possible. I initially wasn’t going to write a review at all, but after receiving a rude and unprofessional message from the host, I now feel obligated to share.I booked this property for a one-night stay to celebrate my birthday before heading out of town the following day. The neighborhood itself wasn’t bad, but the house was poorly maintained from the moment I pulled up. That alone could have been overlooked, but the real issues started once I walked inside. The property had a strong, unpleasant odor, almost like a nursing home. Immediately upon entering, I noticed dead bugs on the floor. As I walked toward the back door, I found more dead insects, and upstairs was no better—there were spiders, cobwebs in the shower and tub, and additional bugs scattered around. Downstairs, the “office” also had dead bugs, and the kitchen table had ants crawling across it. I reached out to the host to notify him of these problems. His only response was, “Thank you for letting me know, I’ll get someone to spray.” There was no urgency, no apology, no assurance it would be addressed during my stay. Within 30 minutes of checking in, I asked to cancel. The host never replied. I then contacted customer support, who told me they needed to wait for the host’s response. After going back and forth for two hours and getting nowhere, I had to escalate the issue myself. I stayed from 4am-11am. No more space to finis

I love that it is convenient if you’re going to Carowinds, but the cleanliness could use some work. The tub upstairs had red spots in there and the bathroom floor had a sticky spot. Overall not a bad place to stay.

Decent Stay

Decent stay overall. Nice house with good furniture. Beds are comfy and there is even a rollaway bed which is helpful. Overall cleanliness of the place is not up to par however. Dog hair from previous guest, stains on some of the furniture. Significant lack of cleaning supplies (sprays / paper towels) and not enough toilet paper to go around. Overall I would come back. The pro's definitely outweigh the cons.

Overall it was what we needed. We were in town for a graduation - a quick two night stay. We were grateful to find a home that allowed pets. The bed was comfortable. One thing we noticed is that it seemed the floors had not been cleaned.

Short Stay

We only stayed for one night as we were in town for a concert. The property is really cute and quaint with great spacing! We didn’t think about it being pet friendly. My daughter in law is allergic to cats, so she had a challenging time. The only negative about the property is the webs in the windows and a claustrophobic feeling entrance.

Nice Location, Easy Access to Activities

It's the perfect spot to stay if you're going to Carowinds. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. It was easy to drive to and from other parts of Charlotte from this house. It was a bit awkward when we arrived because we had to decide who would sleep on the roll away bed and where. When we made the original booking it was based on different accommodations like a previous review mentioned. We booked before any reviews had been left. The AC unit did not fully cool down the upstairs. We ran the fans and cooled the downstairs enough to help with the heat upstairs. The carpet upstairs seemed to have a funny smell at times and bugs in the house was a problem. I am from the south and currently live in the south so I expect some bugs, but a roach managed to come home in one of our food bags left on the kitchen floor during our stay. Things were hard to find in the kitchen and I found a dirty coffee mug in one of the cabinets. The mug had a spoon and left over coffee still in the mug. The backyard was nice to use while visiting.

Birthday love with grandkids

The listing was exactly as it was stated. We really enjoyed our stay and the backyard being fenced in was perfect for my pet. My grandkids had so much fun, just being away from their usual surroundings so that made it even better.

Charming house…

This is a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath Not 4 bed 4 bath. Got off to a rough start at this stay. Host took care of some issues. Stay was ok. I did like the maid service since we stayed more than 2 weeks.
