Was a good stay. It does have a small breakfast. Pancakes and cereal. Place was clean. No hairdryer and no chair to sit on.

I liked that there was unlimited free water bottles and extra towels were very easy to access. The pancakes at breakfast were delicious. Don’t bother with ‘partial ocean view’. Try for something on the 1st floor for best access to the ocean.

The room I stayed in was horrible. Room 310. I realize the hotel is on the beach and have stayed at other at other such accommodations elsewhere but the overwhelming smell of stagnant sea salt was horrible. The floors did not feel clean so we wore flip flops the whole time in the room. The bathroom layout is a joke. The tiles shower looked disgusting so again we wore flip flops. The curtain was not long enough so our bathroom floor was flooded every day. The shower does not have a place to put your shampoos and soaps so that was part of the flood issue. Have to open the current to grab soap, shampoo, conditioner. Finally the toilet paper holder fell off the wall during our stay. The good I have to give is this place is in a great location for a quiet get away. If the owners want help making this place all it can be please reach out.

The air conditioner did not eliminate any humidity in the room so when we were getting ready for bed we noticed the bedding was damp and cold. We could not sleep under the covers and the front office was closed up for the night. Next day had new bedding replaced and by bedtime the sheets were damp and cold again. Room had a funky musky odor. Room looked like the last time it was renovated 20 years ago.

Location was great! Right on the ocean. 20 minutes from Charleston. Price was reasonable. Staff were very good- although, we had little interaction with them. They responded quickly to our one request. Thursday night was quiet, but Friday night was loud outside in the street due to a show at a nearby restaurant. Facility was older and in need of repair in some spots, but our room was clean and in working order. Would definitely stay there again.

This was a one time impromptu getaway. The restaurant crossed the street recommended the hotel. Wow it was so nice clean and friendly staff. We ending up staying an additional night. The only recommendation I would have is to much light comes into the room from the hallway lights. Possibly darling curtains or dimmers for nighttime.

Unbeatable location, rooms need work

Great location, though the room needs work. Ours had some stains, the shower flooded and wouldn’t drain as soon as you turned it on. But if you can put that aside for the location, then it is a good place to stay
