Nice stay, always dependably & enjoyable

Everything was very good as usual. Clean and well appointed rooms, easy check in, nice extras with breakfast and happy hour. Only caveat is parking, garage access always an issue, awkward and tight parking and for some reason no recognition that the majority of guest vehicles are 1500 class pickups and SUVs and not compact cars. Why is so much of the garage painted off for compact, all this for an extra $10 a night as well.

So nice of them to tell you there’s “no parking”left in the lot surrounding the hotel, then they slip you a parking “permit” that they say is for the garage. Problem is, they fail to mention a $10. Charge per night! It’s in the small print on the 2nd line but never once mentioned this. Nice way to gouge the customer! Out of the dozens of visits to Raleigh, never once have I been charged for parking. Poor business model and no reason for it. Apparently there’s no choice with the limited spaces around the property. Nor did they mention they were sticking us in a handicap accessible room. That wouldn’t have been a problem if I was 5’4” or smaller since the shower head was pointed at my chest. I never requested this type of room, and they should have asked me upon checking in. Hotel itself is dated and dark, nothing appealing about it. No reason to ever return, and no reason to recommend. Now I’ll await the canned response from a “manager” who pretends to show concern and values my opinion.
