Great for short holidays with one of two families

A great place to stay with family and friends. Fantastic garden, and lots of space for the kids and grown-ups to hangout. With nearby farm shops and a lovely old pub with great food in walking distance.

Wonderfully comfortable and spacious home for family gatherings

We so enjoyed staying in this spacious, stylish and comfortable family orientated house. Our 2yr old grandson was delighted and entertained by the array of toys , play areas and garden The adults also loved the choice of places to sit, eat, chat and just be together. The beds are super comfortable and having all the bathrooms were a bonus.

A wunderful place for a family reunion

We all liked the house and had a wunderful stay. The children loved playroom and the garden. The location ist well located. In a quiet area but not dar away from Canterbury and the Coast.

Sycamores Cottage in the village of Staple in Kent

The cottage was very spacious and comfortable for our family, which consisted of 8 spread over 3 generations. There were 2 playrooms which were enjoyed by the grandchildren, plus a very large garden for them to run around in and explore. Also, there were other play things in the outdoor shed including a paddling pool which was great for them to use in the very hot weather we had during our week's stay. Inside there was a children's room with ceiling lights and walls covered in an undersea mural. The children, and adults, loved it. Nearby there was a fantastic farm shop, Gibson's Farm Shop. The produce was all locally sourced and we found it extremely good. On our last day we had brunch at Juliets Farm Shop and Cafe, truly excellent (more a cafe than a farm shop). We found that we were fairly central to a number of attractions, such as Wingham Wildlife Park, East Kent Railway (which was manned solely by volunteers), Walmer Castle, Westgate Gardens in Canterbury with punting on the River Stour. In addition the sea was never far away with, for example, a lovely sandy beach at Viking Bay. One thing to be aware of is that the roads in the area around Staple are quite narrow in places but they did not tend to be busy.

A lovely family house

Our three generational family had a wonderful week in this spacious house. The fixtures and fittings were exceptional and very high spec. The children enjoyed the playroom and had great fun in the huge garden. It was a good base to explore the north, south and east coast. Wingham wildlife park and the Romney Hythe Dymchurch Railway were great favourites, as was fish and chips on the seafront in Deal.

Family Gathering

This house has a WOW factor, not just for adults but also the children. The house is well equipped and modern throughout, with plenty of room for everyone to have space but yet be together. It was perfect for our stay.The grandchildren loved the playroom and the garden seemed to go on forever, it was safe and this allowed the young children to have the freedom to explore and enjoy themselves without constant supervision.They did not want to leave and neither did the adults. The location was in a quiet area but you do need a car if you want to visit the area. Staple Village Fayre was on the weekend of our stay and we had a great day. We visited many local attractions but if visting Sandwich, the White Mill Rural Heritage Centre is a fascinating place to visit. Lovely family memories have been made at Sycamores.

The Millers 60th family celebration

What a weekend we all had celebrating a 60th birthday with friends and family. We stayed at the Sycamores house in Staple, Canterbury . A beautiful 5 bedroom house that sleeps 9 with a garden the size of a small park. We was lucky to have some dry weather for the children to play out in the playhouse, slide and swings. The children enjoyed the playroom , bikes and games in the shed. The kitchen and conservatory was the main vocal point for everyone to catch up with lots of eating and drinking as it was so spacious amd plenty of areas for people to sit down and rest there feet The design of the house was perfect with a large living room dinning area and many more areas to explore.. The children loved their bedroom with interactive changing lights in the ceiling making it look like stars in the sky. With two ensuites and a very large family bathroom an a toliet down stairs no problem with everyone getting ready for the party. Plenty of room on the drive for 4 cars with a secure gate to stop the dog getting out. Plenty of amenities in the kitchen and room to put all your shopping. A couple of small things to address some Oven gloves and a couple more baking trays. The play room needs a good clear out due to many games and toys broken and missing parts . The only thing missing I would say is a hot tub. We would love to come again maybe when the weather is warmer to enjoy that beautiful garden. From the Millers

A wonderful stay

My party of 6 literally had the best stay. There was the perfect amount of space so that we could all have our own space as well at times, but enjoy time in the lounge too. We brought one of the sofas from another space and placed in front of the window, just so that we could all spread out a bit more, which worked well for us. The cleanliness of the house as good and had everything included that we wanted in the property. It was a lovely touch having the bar there and the sparkling in the wine fridge, although we had brought our own so didn’t use. I hope this is something that would continue to be at the house but not taken advantage of by people renting it out. We were left a lovely card, chocolates and bottle of white wine which was really thoughtful too. We have had that in other houses and just makes you feel welcome from the get go. Wifi was good as we managed to say Happy Christmas to our friend in Australia and was probably the best place we have rented out over the Christmas period by far. We went on local walks (please bring walking boots or wellies) to enjoy the countryside and got chatting to some locals. Beautiful walk around the garden and can imagine how much fun this could be in the summer. We really have had a fantastic Christmas staying here and thank the team for looking after us.

Fantastisch huis met een enorme tuin!Voorzien van alle gemakken waardoor er met twee gezinnen prima geslapen kon worden en er niks ontbrak voor de kinderen!
