Advantages and disadvantages!

Pros: The staff were very friendly.
Cons: The hotel condition. I need of a make-over ASAP!!!
Location: Take a bus to get to downtown Cancun where all the action is.
The hotel was a good hotel for the price! It's in need of remodeling/renovations because it's very old but the rooms were spacious and clean! The staff were very accommodating and friendly! However, the security was rude and accused me of smoking on the property and I do not smoke. I also noticed a few items missing from me and my guest's suitcases and I know it had to be house-keeping so beware of leaving valuables in the rooms! The staff needs to be bi-lingual so they can understand customers that speak English. The food was good and the pool was beautiful! The beach was nice and relaxing but parts of the water seemed to be polluted so take caution when swimming in the ocean on this side of the hotel zone. You would have to take the bus to get to downtown Cancun and other places to have fun and party because this hotel is reserved and quiet. Overall it was an ok hotel if you are on a budget!

No amenities

Pros: The price (???)
Cons: Coffee. WiFi in the rooms. There is a Cell tower on the roof. Presumably they are making money on that, but no in-room WiFi
Location: Hotel is not within walking distance to Cancun peninsula center. it is not really within walking distance to anything.
Rooms are clean, linens are clean, no buts anywhere however, No hair dryer in room No coffee maker in room (and no coffee) No refrigerator in room (however there were pots, pans and plates in the cupboard) Bathroom comes with 2 towels, 1 hand towel and no washcloth You must check out/in the TV and A/C remote with the front desk upon arrival and departure The phones don't call out WiFi available in lobby and at the pool only There is something on the page that says 150 peso breakfast is included, however I never ate breakfast there and I did have to pay for my coffee (which is only available in the restaurant during restaurant hours) Bar had no change This appears to be a hotel for locals for a weekend get-away Very little English spoken, however front desk manager during the day was quite friendly and helpful Oh, it is also quite far up from the center of the Cancun strip, not within walking distance.

Hotel at the bottom end, ok if room on 1st level

Food not good so you eat out, except nothing is close. The taxis are way overpriced... $15-20 each way for less than 5 mile trip. Beach is nice & hotel staff are accomdating, but don't speak a lot of English. The 1st level rooms are good, but you have to ask once you get there.

Serviceable, centrally located and on the beach

Pros: Close restaurants
Imperial Las Perlas is located close to the Cancun central bus station, which is great for purchasing tickets ahead of time and for making early morning buses when arriving the evening before. It's certainly not fancy, but it's located on the beach, has a pool and an overwater restaurant on site, and is perfectly serviceable for a night or two.

just a bit too far off the action -- beach was not the best for swimming

Pros: Free breakfast, Quiet
Cons: Nothing close
altho the room was spacious and clean, the hotel itself was not within walking distance to any restraunts or attractions. the included breakfast was just OK--usually cold. the beach was weedy and not really suitable for swimming. the overall cleanliness of the property was imprtessive.

relax and enjoy

My husband and I stayed here for a week. It is a quite hotel and the service is top. If you give a little tip the waiters remember you and your glass is always full and you are taken care of. The only thing we could complain about was that you did have to let the water run for a while before it got HOT then you had to turn it down as it was too hot. We would definitly go back. The air worked fine the tv got english speaking channels the bus stop is right outside the door. The beach is great for a morning walk #40or anytime else#41 For breakfast the cook will fix you a fresh omelet with the fixings of your choice. Everyone is very friendly the pool is on the smaller side but very comfortable temp.

Fair price decent hotel

7 of us stayed there for a week the location is ok there are no restaurants or stores near. There is a small convinience store that has food snacks beer etc. for an emergency The staff was always helpful. The bus stop is a few steps away. We rented a car so we had no problem going places when we wanted. Xcaret and Xel ha are 40 min away. We were not looking for a place to stay all day. Just a place to sleep and have breakfast. If you want a luxury place you have to pay more. This is not an all inclusive resort. If you are looking to rest in a hotel free drinks plenty of food and a 5 star service then this is not a hotel for you. We had an awesome time everyday going to all the beauties of the area and a good clean rest at night the air conditioner was veeeeery cold but we just set it up lower the tv... who wants to watch tv? I was not worried about the tv because I can watch tv any time at my home. :#41 we will gp backl next year Thanks

It's a decent hotel... not a 5star resort

I went there with my friends and family but we were not planning to stay in the hotel all day the location is excelent! close to downtown so you can take a bus to go to the markets and restaurants in both the luxury hotel area. The breakfast was ok, you can have your regular breakfast, eggs, fruit, cereal, milk, juice, etc. we rented a car and drove to Xcaret, Xelha, Tulum, Xplore, Chichen itza. So it is a good option if you are seeking more than laying in the sun. The service was ok, if you want to be treated like a queen then you have to pay more for sure ! Thank you ! we had an awesome time and a good rest and breakfast at this hotel.
