The tea room is unattended - at leat on the midweek day i was there despite having menus out. No one tells you but you have to orderat the restaurant bar and carry ur tea urself.

Enjoyable stay - great location

Really enjoyed our 2-night stay here. The location is excellent giving easy access to Clifton, the city centre, and the harbourside. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The staff were also very helpful. We would recommend this hotel. The on-site car parking was also convenient.

We chose this hotel because of the easy parking facilities. It is a busy and bustling Victorian hotel. Our room was comfortable and well appointed meeting most of our needs. Mistakes were made by some reception staff during peak periods but these were sorted out satisfactorily.

Terrible service and unapproachable in advance

Very disappointing service from a hotel we’ve stayed in many many times. Despite messaging the hotel months in advance to try and sort an early check in so we could make a wedding they didn’t even respond. Getting through on the phone was a nightmare and when we did get through to explain it nothing was done and we were late for the wedding as we had to complain at check-in to get a room to change in. Such a shame as it is a good hotel, just awful service.

The hotel is well situated. We had a suite and were a bit disappointed. It’s basically 2 separate rooms that are connected through the hotel hallway, we were also expecting the seating area to be separate and not in one of the rooms. One of the rooms also had no real window beside a small one at the top, so it had no view and was really dark. The access to the executive lounge was a plus, where they had free breakfast, evening appetizers and drinks/snacks available all day, but every time we went there was no food left.
