Nice hotel, nice staff, room very comfortable, good location on James St. but a lot of noise from construction site opposite the hotel which made the stay average rather than very good.

Property interior is beautiful but some of the high tech features are not user friendly. Couldn’t figure out how to call the front desk plus the cordless phone said low battery. Not sure the receptionist would have been helpful anyway. When I checked in the receptionist was really difficult and somewhat condescending. Couldn’t understand her because she just whispered

Sage should be ashamed

Terrible stay. There is construction noise flat out. There is a major project directly opposite which will continue for a long time. We were given no advance notice. Contractors had permits to work from 6.30pm to 6.30am- reversing trucks, drilling, shouting occurred in the night. 6.45 am the daytime contractors commenced their drilling, reverberating through the entire hotel. It was difficult to sleep at anytime. If I was told in advance about these long term works- I could make a decision, but to keel this type of non stop construction a secret from guests until they arrive? That’s shameful.

Unfortunately the hotel didn’t tell me they have months and months of jack hammer work that shakes the entire hotel from 6am until 5pm Monday to Saturday…! Forced to to cancel several zoom calls as the background hammering was ridiculous. Wouldn’t have stayed if I had known now will never stay again. They even left ear plugs in the room knowing how loud it is.

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options in easy walking distance. The hotel itself is nice, well-kept, has comfortable beds and polite staff members. There is construction occurring across the street and they informed us of possible noise and provided ear plugs, although we were completely unbothered as our room was on the opposite side of the hotel.
