Room was clean.
Staff didn't explain anything about the hotel or the area or the fact you could get a free loop bus to and from the city and hotel.
Parking difficult if you aren't confident with tight manoeuvres, ok for us.

Great location and great outlook and free city loop bus stopping at the front door. The a/c is a bit loud and my bathroom layout was “tight”. Otherwise it’s older but well kept
The staff were great - Alexandra on reception and Joyce from housekeeping
Lovely room, clean hotel and quiet but central location. Amazing value for money.

The breakfast the first morning was a bit chaotic. There was a large group of foreign students in the breakfast area and individuals were forced to sit in the conference room. I believe the student group should have had a setup in the conference room.
I thought the restaurant in the evening would be in a different room. It was not as appealing from what I would expect for the cost.
Our second stay at this hotel confirmed our earlier impression that this is a clean, friendly, well-run hotel; very convenient for Roma Street Station and the centre of the City.

Everything was spotless and the hotel staff were delightful. There was a program of improvements going on but thankfully it didn’t affect our stay
Great price for the size of the room and its inclusions- air con was cold (many hotels fail with this) - the staff on the front desk tried hard to assist me with ferry times and other information about sites worth-seeing in Brisbane but were not trained in this and I had to find the under freeway ferry wharf on my own (a french tourist showed me) plus the sky-walk at the Star Building- I'm not complaining though, as your ladies tried, but they obviously didn't know anything about Brisbane CBD tourist attractions unfortunately. (They didn't seem to be local or residents of Brisbane) - anyway, I'll book again at the Spring Hill Mecure, as the hotel experience was excellent-thanks

There was no problem about leaving our luggage at the hotel 2 hours before check-in time; also no problem about asking for extra tea and coffee sachets in our room (plus plenty of fresh milk in the fridge, hurrah); and for the first time ever we ordered "room service" which was marvelous, with delicious items from the restaurant's menu at no extra charge except for $5 delivery! We were very happy with our stay in Brisbane.

Staff friendly and accomodating to requests. Room clesn well presented. Shor walk to centre of city.
Awesome location, right across from the parklands. Cafe / Restaurant was fantastic, all the staff were so lovely. Room was clean, quiet and air-con lovely and cold. Super comfortable bed and the pricing was excellent!
Parking was well priced and secure, however very awkward to manouvre in there, lots of pillars to squeeze between. Glad we took our small car.
Really decent hotel - location and staff both super and very much a recommendable place to stay. Bathroom needs an update - doesn’t suit the rest of the high quality of the hotel!

The hotel view was excellent, and the location was also very good. However, the room service was a bit weak, and tissues and toiletries were not restocked.
After booking months in advance, i was contacted by the hotel a couple of days out and advised that due to a system error they were no longer able to provide my room. I was given a room nextdoor at the Soho hotel instead and offered complimentary breakfast for the trouble.
The room was terrible, extremely small and outdated. Massive let down.

I had booked a room months in advance of my stay for an event but I didn't get to stay at the Mercure!
I have stayed here on many occasions previously. I had a phone call from the hotel a few days before my arrival to say that they had double booked my room (along with a number of others) and that hey had arrange to book me into the hotel next door (which suspiciously happens to be owned by the same family group) . It was now too late to rebook with another hotel. The room I was booked into was not to the Mercure standard. They did however offer free parking and breakfast as compensation, however I would not have booked this alternative location by choice.
