This was such a carefree stay. The house is set up for fun. There is plenty of beach gear for the kids to use and even cute beach bags. There were plenty of soft towels and pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the outdoor space. The way the patio is tucked in makes everything feel very private. There is a fan you can use to circulate the air if need be but a quick jump in the pool accomplished the same thing. We took walks in the neighborhood and everyone was sooo friendly. There is the best, most helpful binder with great recommendations both on and off the island for things to eat and do.
Beach tips: weekends are packed! Get there before 9am or risk spending most of your time looking for parking. Weekdays are much easier to find parking but I’d still recommend going before 11am. And if you go to Manatee Beach (without traffic it’s a straight shot about 10 mins away) and eat all you can eat pancakes right on the beach!! We have been to the area a number of times and this house was our favorite we’ve stayed at off island. Highly highly recommend.
And if you encounter ANYTHING slightly off (we had found some lightbulbs that were burnt out) contact the owner immediately. She had them replaced within the hour. Super receptive. And she can’t make things better if she doesn’t know it’s broke. She was the sweetest.
