Amazing staff to match the luxury lifestyle

All I can say is if you can get the Harbor view room I highly recommend it! Beautiful views of the harbor, watching yachts and crew teams sipping my morning coffee on our balcony was a highlight. The staff onsite is the nicest group of people we have ever met. Valet, front desk, bellhop, and the concierge all exceeded expectations. I have stayed with my family at a few luxury resorts in the Newport Beach area and Balboa Bay Resort is hands down our favorite of them all. We will be back guaranteed.

To start the staff were great, all around. However, this hotel is very dated, needs a renovation. The maintenance is not kept up, colors are old, paint is peeling, bathrooms need a complete Reno. The furniture is way too big for the rooms and therefore, there is limited space. We could hear absolutely everything above, beside and through the door. This is an average 3 1/2 star hotel. I am not sure how it gets such high ratings. Also it’s in an inconvenient area. You will need a car.

Hotel is very nice, it’s in a great location and the food at the onsite restaurant is excellent! Just stayed two nights over Labor Day weekend, they were super busy and we were still able to check in 2 hrs early when the property was sold out. Stayed in a single king bed room on the ground floor. Room was nice and clean and comfortable. The hotel has a free car service onsite that we used multiple times to go back and forth between the property and balboa island. My only complaint about the property is the close proximity to Newport west coast highway, from our room We could hear super cars speeding up and down the road at all hours of the night.
