Luxurious apartment in “The Stables” of our Farmers Inn near Amsterdam

Stay in a 130 year old farmhouse "The Farmhouse Inn". In our original Dutch farmhouse from 1892, you will find a completely renovated apartment for 4 people in "The Stables", with your own entrance and every conceivable comfort that we hold in high regard.
The Stables used to be the cows bedrooms, but now there is a beautiful apartment that accommodates 4 people. A wonderful baspoint with its own entrance for you to discover the area. Downstairs you will find a spacious living room with lounge sofa and TV with Google Chrome, a spacious kitchen with all necessities and a separate toilet. On the upper floor there are 3 spacious and comfortable original Dutch bedsteads, 1 double bedstead, and 2 single bedsteads. The luxurious bathroom with rain shower and another toilet can also be found on the top floor. And pleasant floor heating everywhere. Everything to make you feel right at home.

Great stay

We loved our stay in the quaint village of Ilpendum. Brenda and Michael were kind and gracious hosts, who gave us great tips on sightseeing, and even brought us fresh fruit as a gift one day. The town has easy access to Amsterdam and there are lovely places to walk and bike in around the village.

Cute little holiday base

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very friendly and the accommodation was cosy but well thought out. The village was quiet and the buses very regular into Amsterdam. The only downside was that it appears to be holiday accommodation next door too. Unfortunately for us there seemed to be a group of lads staying there. The first time we heard them, we were all in bed and were woken up. We thought people were actually in our accommodation as it was very loud. Having got up to check, we thought they were on the roof! It sounded like fighting at first. Finally we realised it was just that the walls are paper thin and the lads were above us as well as joined on next door. There are only net curtains, so you are on full show to anyone walking by when you are downstairs. However owner has kept the property to a good standard and I would recommend.

Amazing stay!

For us this was a long weekend away. We loved the location of the property. Just a short bus ride from Amsterdam, but located in a beautiful little village with a shop, cafe/bar. The property was very comfortable, stylish and had everything we needed. We chose to have a day away from the wonderful city and hired a boat for the day from our location. It was absolutely perfect for us all and our teenagers loved the whole experience too. Thanks to Michael and Brenda for being wonderful hosts. We had a brilliant time.

Die Ferienwohnung war bezaubernd und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die "Schrankbetten" im Obergeschoss waren sehr bequem und gemütlich. Im Bad oben fehlten uns Haken um die Handtücher aufhängen zu können, doch sonst war auch das Bad praktisch ausgestattet.Die untere Etage hatte ein schönes Wohnzimmer mit Leinwand und Beamer, was dem Teenie sehr gut gefallen hat. Auch in der Küche fehlte es an nichts, so eine gute Küchenausstattung hatten wir noch in keiner Ferienwohnung. Für längere Aufenthalte fehlte uns ein Schrank für die Klamotten, doch das ist vermutlich platztechnisch nicht möglich. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freudlich und bei Anreise fanden wir im Kühlschrank leckere Schokolade zur Begrüßung. An manchen Tagen gab es etwas Fluglärm, doch es hielt sich in Grenzen und war auch nicht täglich. Die Umgebung ist wirklich ausgesprochen schön, die Menschen allgemein sehr freundlich und man kann alles bequem mit dem Fahrrad erkunden, sogar bis Amsterdam, das sind grad mal 30 min Fahrt. Wir kommen hoffentlich wieder.
