The property was comfortable and had everything my family needed. The location can’t be beat! Perfectly located for walking to historical sites and close to the subway for more distant attractions.

Avoid this apartment
We had very little sleep for the three nights we were there because of the noise of the banging water pipes. The bedrooms were in the basement with hardly any natural light. To reach the basement you had to attempt a steep and narrow spiral staircase. Carrying suitcases down this staircase was perilous. The decor of the apartment was tired and uncomfortable. The beds and bedding were cheap. The bathrooms needed to be renovated. We liked the area but would never rent that apartment again.

Incredible Location
The location was unparalleled. It was close to the T, Target, grocery stores, and Boston Common. The house is quirky. I would recommend earplugs to sleep as the house is noisy but I would definitely stay here again.

Historic visit to Boston
Well located within walking distance of much of historic Boston. Also easy to catch a ride share or the T. Well stocked with utensils, plates, and glasses. We thought the spiral staircase to the bedroom level was neat. While not the most up to date, everything worked and kept us comfortable.

Spring Getaway
The location of the property was great. We were able to easily navigate our way around Boston due to the central location of the property. The apartment does need some updating but overall it was charming.Unfortunately we were awakened each night by the constant loud tapping/dripping noise in our bedroom. In the half bathroom there was printed instructions to not flush toilet paper. That seemed odd to all that stayed in the apartment. Other than those two things we did enjoy our stay.

Good basic apartment in great location
Location is fantastic with easy access to everything. Communication with hosts was great. Expect city noise in one bedroom and water pipe noise in the other, but both got quieter late in the evening.

Not as advertised
This place was a disappointment. I should have looked at more reviews. The host was kind enough to let us in early. The beds were comfortable, but that is where the comfort ends. The kitchen floor was dirty. The oven didn’t work, and we had difficulty with the lock. The host did not respond to our concerns about the oven except to insult me for not reading broken oven related reviews from 9 months ago. I was disappointed with the property, the response from the host, and vrbo’s response.

Great apartment & location
This is a fantastic place. Quirky, clean and comfortable in an unbeatable location. The spiral stairs are steep and narrow so not for those with mobility issues. The plumbing does make noise but as Brits we all are used to old buildings with interesting sounds so no issue for us. We would definitely stay here again. Good clear instructions from owner.

Location is important but it's not everything
This location was awesome, but the unit itself could use updates and communication with the property manager was non-existent. In the listing description the unit mentioned it's decorated with antiques. I would say it's more like clutter, between the VHS, magazines, DVD's, books, and stuff animals. Lastly the oven didn't work and when I reached out no one got back to me. I don't usually need a property manager but when they don't get back to you I have an issue with that. Especially when you can tell they put no effort into the unit itself. Understandably it's an old building with pipes and noises, but they use that's an excuse. Again it's a great location and if you're ok with no communication with your property manager if something goes wrong then this is the place for you. We will be visiting Boston again, but won't be staying here

Perfect Boston City Location
The location for city exploration is excellent. Keep in mind that this is a small apartment with realistic limitations in an older building. Look closely at other reviews which do talk about their concerns for limitations. For the four of us, seasoned travelers in our 70's, it worked out great ... we are adaptable!!!

Awesome location in Boston which was key as we didn't have a car. Very walkable to many areas of Boston, the park and the train station from the house. The house is a little outdated and the instructions for the AC were not correct, but once we figured it out it worked okay. We were there in wit was in the in the mid to upper 90s, so jtypical w

Nice location, to get your luggage to the bedroom is tricky, spiral stairscase
The only thing is if your a light sleeper you might have a problem the water pipes are very noisy. It’s an old building. For the check in process we were not informed that the look box was in a cabinet outside the door. I found it out of sheer luck and there are multiple lock boxes so we tried 3 and got luck.

Great Location, but ....
PROS: The location of this property is great to be able to walk everywhere.
CONS: You cannot put toilet paper in the toilets! You have to put it in the trash can. I just think that is nasty and gross. I did not realize that when I booked it, that would have been a deal breaker for me. For the price you pay for this property, putting nasty toilet paper in a trash can is ridiculous.
Also, there were not enough towels for the 4 of us. No extra towels anywhere.
There were no kitchen towels to dry dishes with.
There is warning in the description about building noises and there definitely are! One night it was so loud that we were woken up at 1:30 am and didn't get back to sleep for several hours. Every night there were noises, some nights louder than others. One bedroom had the street noise - sirens, noise like skateboards going down the street, people talking, etc. If you are a light sleeper you will not sleep well.
The spiral staircase is very narrow and would not be safe to carry suitcase down.
Bring your own bath soap because there was not any provided.

Location was great
The location of the place was its best feature. We were able to drop off our luggage prior to check-in since we had an early flight. The spiral staircase was challenging at times because of its narrow stairs. We found it was easier to keep our suitcases upstairs and bring down clothes each day, a large suitcase would be very difficult to take it down the stairs. The place was clean but the towels were fewer than we needed.but was resolved. We are currently communicating with the owner with sending us the item we erroneously left there,

Perfect in every way
The location, just a few minute walk tp two separate T stops, made it easy to get anywhere we wanted. It had plenty of space and everything we needed. Our host was very accommodating and the communication was clear and easy. If I was visiting Boston again, I would definitely want to stay here.
