The whole hotel is great!!! From check-in to check-out it’s always a really nice experience! The rooms and the amenities are really nice, well-maintained, and very clean. A special shoutout to Alyssa, the morning breakfast manager…she treats every guest as if they were members of her family and makes us all feel right at home! Excellent job!!! Was not given the room booked. Was given and old room instead of the one shown on the images that were the renovated rooms (which i didmt found until my check in so.i couldnt cancel and be refunded).Got moved the next day to a half renovated room even when I requested the renovated room due to easier access to the shower because of my knee surgery. No refund so had to remain in the hotel. Wanted to extend my stay to make it easier for my flight so i went the night before check out to extend and the front desk said to pick up new keys in the morning. Turns out they did not extend me and i had less than an hour to pack and checkout before the other guests arrived and did not get a late checkout. Bitter taste from start to finish but I appreciate one individual who did his best to accommodate me in a proper room but i understand availability isnt always there. I wished it just wasnt falsely advertised because I definitely did not get the worth of what I paid for. Bad impression for my first visit to Boston at this property.

Room needed updating, the bathroom was very small with grout issues on the tile. Otherwise, the room was spotless and the customer service was excellent. I personally feel when using hotels.com to book a rooms, I’m not assigned the better rooms.

Everything was great except the last housekeeping service before checkout. The room amenities were not refreshed (coffee cups, toilet paper, etc) and the door was left ajar. When we returned at 8:30 PM our door was not latched and only required a push to open.

Very old property and it shows. No fan in the bathroom, lots of light gets through the curtains, raggedy carpet and lots of construction going on. Had to go through several emails and calls before our stay to confirm a crib then we got there they had no record of that request. Thankfully they had one, but good grief. Their sales director also told me Expedia booked me 5 rooms not 1, and told me it was MY responsibility to contact Expedia and have them call the hotel to resolve. I’m sorry, what? Expedia had no idea, and meanwhile I work and have two kids under 3, so didn’t have time for all that. Unprofessional.

I felt the place was centrally located to Wakefield and to Salem, Massachusetts, where we were going to visit. The rooms were adequate. I think they could use a little bit more storage in the bathrooms. The front desk was extremely friendly. The breakfast was nice. There was plenty to choose from and I use the gym and I felt it was suitable for many types of exercise.

Tori the night shift desk lady was absolutely amazing. I give her 10 stars. Other than being woken up to the sprinkler system at 5am which the day shift employees fixed for me that was the only hiccup. Everything else was wonderfu, I would definitely stay again.

Garbage room on the first floor. Apparently only the tower are the remodelled rooms (overheard at desk) but floor 1 and 2 are original. Lumpy mattress, dirty old showers, couch I wouldn’t put anything on. Smelled of smoke. Couldn’t wait to leave. Complained and just got moved to the same type of room but bigger. Pics on Expedia are not what you get in real life on floor 1 anyway.
