The hotel was nice and very convenient for the night before flying out of Logan airport. The service in the bar/restaurant in the hotel, however, was a bad experience that will make me reconsider staying there again.
After an evening in downtown Boston on a very cold night, we stopped into the bar for a nightcap. The bartender waved us in to seat ourselves. We were immediately met by a server that was short with us and informed us where we needed to sit.
I asked for a drink menu. She insisted it was a full bar and the bartender could make anything we wanted. Again I asked for a menu. She ignored me. She came back to our table 5-6 minutes later and asked, ‘Do you know what you want yet?’ Of course, the drink I asked for could not be made. Would’ve known this had I had a menu!! We gave up. We got our simple beer and wine order. She came back midway through our drinks to ask if we needed anything else. We weren’t ready for a second yet so we said ‘no’. Next thing we knew, we had our bill. I guess we were done.
We spent 9 days in New England and met some lovely people in Maine, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Sadly, our last night ended with a snarky, rude, dismissive server.
