I called the front desk as soon as I booked the condo on Expedia and the front desk lady promised to put us in a condo close to the amenities but as soon as we came to check in they gave us a condo unit that wasn’t that close like originally promised over the phone. It was old and outdated and we had 4 children with us and 2 set of adults and only 1 king and 1 queen and 2 set of twin beds on two separate floors - which was highly inconvenient since all 4 girls wanted to sleep in one room. We talked to front desk about it and they were going to do something about but ended up not helping us out on getting another unit for the second night. So, overall great property but okay stay.

The amenities were very subpar. The fireplace was out of propane, we called and maintenance was supposed to come fill it- never did. The jets in one of the tubs did not work. I called front desk and left a message but my call was never returned. I realize it was Thanksgiving weekend but we should have received a call back on Friday. My family has stayed at Chetola for many many years but their high standard was not evident on this trip.

The condo was cozy and the resort atmosphere was good, but unfortunately we had no hot water for 2 out of our 3 days. It made the stay uncomfortable given the freezing temperatures. Aside from that issue, we really enjoyed the property.

Great location, not walkable to Downtown Blowing Rock though… and parking in downtown is pretty rough. The resort was nice as was our “condo” rental although our unit needed some updates, faucets, vanity, cabinets etc Staff was great!
