The room was made up. It had a very musty smell. The shower had mildew in the corners. The room was in need of new paint and a facelift. The 2 staff members i had contact with were pleasant. The parking was great. Breakfast was fine. I had the eggs and sausage. It was good.

The bathtub shower had overhead damage apparently from a room above water leak. There was very little outside or inside seating. The breakfast was very limited to sausage links and scrambled eggs everyday. Our annually travel group has marked this property off the list.

2nd time not a charm

Stayed here last year, and it was fantasticfor the cost. What a difference a year makes. Check in was great. Clerk was super friendly & got us checked in quickly. It’s August in Alabama; so it’s 90 degrees and humid out. Imagine our surprise to get to the room and the AC is off. Thermostat said 80 degrees and it was more humid in the room than it was outside. In addition to the heat and humidity when we opened the door, there was an overwhelming musty/mildewy smell. Luckily the smell started to dissipate as soon as we turned the AC on. Over the course of the 4 nights there, we would discover that we would get hit with the same smell as soon as we opened the door each time, but that we would become nose blind to it very quickly each time. It should be noted that as we departed, there was a technician (who ignored our do not disturb tag on the door…luckily the door stop was engaged) cleaning every AC unit on the floor (even those that were occupied…he had all the doors hanging wide open…you could see personal belongings in rooms). While the bed was amazingly comfortable, the sheets were too stretched out to fit well. We had to remake the bed each night. The biggest complaint is that after night three, we removed the do not disturb sign and called the desk to ask for new sheets and towels. We were assured our room would be serviced. We came back to the room exactly as we left with our towels on the floor and the sheets in a pile. The desk didn’t offer much beyond new towels
