Ski-in/Ski-out Access | Best for skiers, but also possible for snowboarders who are up for some flat road sections. Ski-Out: Travel down the road to the Thunderwolf Lift, or for the less experienced walk up the road to the Bear Back Poma (about a 5-minute walk). Ski-In: Intermediate and Experts need to take Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. Ski past the bottom of the Poma on the ski trail to Low Dog Road. From here ski the road back to the house. We recommend beginners ski to the Summit Hotel and walk out the front of the hotel and ski the road the whole way back down to Low Dog Road. Silver Knife may be too steep for beginners. Note: During periods of melting the road could be exposed and cause the property to lose ski access since the road is necessary for parts of the process. The home is only ski-in/ski-out accessible when the road is snow-covered.
Bedroom Layout: Master (third level) : King bed with en suite bathroom with shower Bedroom 2 (third level): Two twin over twin bunk beds (sleeps 4) with shared hallway bathroom with shower Bedroom 3 (fourth level): King bed with en suite bathroom with shower Bedroom 4 (fourth level): Two double beds (sleeps 4) with shared hallway bathroom with shower/tub combo Loft (top level): Futon (sleeps 1)
Getting Around: We highly recommend that our guests rent a 4x4 vehicle during the winter months (October-May). Please be aware that shuttle services must be booked in advance, and rideshare options like Uber or Lyft are unavailable in the area.
Other Things to Note: Parking: the driveway holds up to 2 vehicles.
Interaction with Guests: Your Super Host, Ascend Properties, is local and readily available to address any requests you may have during your stay.

Great ski in/out location!
Beautiful house, wonderful location. We were a bit worried that there wouldn't be enough snow for ski in / ski out. It hadn't snowed in almost two weeks, but we still had no problems. It's a beautifully designed house, with plenty of space.

Fantastic Ski Getaway
Our group of 6 friends stayed at this house together and we had the absolute best time. There was more than enough space for us all to comfortably hang out, and the 4 bathrooms were so key to everyone getting ready without having to wait on anyone else. The hot tub was amazing and we used it nightly and looked at the stars. Communication with the host was prompt and clear. The ski out was fantastic for our tickets and time at Big Sky. We will definitely be back!

Perfect ski in ski out
Our group had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! Some of the other reviews mentioned that there wasn’t enough space for a big group and that it felt cramped but we didn’t find this to be true at all! There was plenty of space for our group of 8 and we all were very comfortable. The ski in and out was very easy too and it’s also walking distance (14 min) to the main resort area and about a 7 min walk to the first lift if you’re not comfortable doing ski in/out. We highly recommend staying at this VRBO!

Exceeded expectation
The house exceeded my expectations. Multi level home with a game room and 2 sets of washers and dryers! Aside from having all the amenities that a great home should have, once rally nice thing was the decorative traffic light outside the house. It really came in handy when coming back home at night to easily see which house to pull in to :-)

Quirky Property, Great Location
We had a great time staying at the property and loved the ski in / ski out setup. It was a little dicey when the snow melted (skiing on the side of the road), but it worked out really well for us. Kitchen was well appointed and the Weber grill worked great (hate when properties have crappy grills). Beds were comfortable and there were tons of bathrooms - though none on the main level. Only real downside to the place is that there are essentially 3 main levels, 4 if you count the loft. That’s a lot of stairs after 5 days of tough skiing!
Property management team was great and helpful when our car broke down. Will definitely stay with them again.

YUP, Ski-In / Ski-Out - That's just about All
This property used to be called The Treehouse on Low Dog. Now, it shows as a new listing "23 Low Dog Road" . First impressions were small, tiny kitchen, and vertical layout: two bedrooms 2 flights down, two bedrooms one flight down, loft one flight up. All items in house work, but it is clear that place was "treehouse" that's been re-presented (likely due to less than flattering reviews) as "New to Market"
Overall, this house was very small for 10 people (provided furniture in living room provided seating for 5 ..... Finally, this was sub par compared to the places i have stayed / visited in Big Sky for this price range.

Great ski out, good ski in
Well located property near Mountain Village. Easy ski out in the morning down Low Dog Road to the Thunder Wolf lift. Ski in a little trickier, but easy enough for skiers from Silver Knife off of Ramcharger. Hard for snowboarders to make it without walking. Can ski all the way from Mountain Village with a bit of traversing. Easy two minute drive to Mountain Village as well.
The property is a bit dated on the finishes, but that was expected based on the photos. Just enough room for our group of 8 guys, but it was a bit cramped in the kitchen/living room area.
The kitchen table was broken when we arrived and the chairs were very rickety. Ascend Properties did provide a temporary replacement, but I would recommend making sure permanent replacements are there. Ascend, updated photos of the new table and chairs would be a good idea.

Great for skiing
We had 8 guys for skiing in February. Definitely able to ski in/out when there is enough snow to cover the roads which helps when people want to leave at different times. The hot tub is great and the views from the deck are amazing. If you are looking for updated finishes and new appliances, probably not your place, but it met our needs. Plenty of dishware and appliances and two washer/dryers was convenient.
