Lazy bear cabin

House was great. A bathtub would’ve been nice for small children to bathe but bathrooms were nice. Communication with the property management was alright. Email did say face to face check in, but I didn’t realize you had to go into the office since it never provided an address. I figured just call or text the number when we were close. The numbers provided were customer service so of course waiting forever to get through to someone who doesn’t even work at the office. Once we checked in we got the code for the house, but it ended up only being for the garage so luckily we had time to get back to the office before they closed to get the house code. Todd in the office was helpful and even gave me his personal number if we needed after hours help. So really the only complaint I have was the Vacasa property management could’ve done better overall. I’d definitely stay at the house again though

A little Gem

Cabin was clean, prepped and had most of what we required cookware, utensil and dish wise. It’s best to bring your own paper towels as they don’t provide them, which is understandable. House has a nice game room, adorable step down living room set up with THE cutest little corner area of dog toys and cozy kitchen space made for a quaint mountain home away from home vibe. The back yard was a huge hit for our pups! Plenty of play space for them and the best set up for us Humans. Fire pit works super well and the jacuzzi was even better. It was snowing out, so we were a little concerned about getting in and out without freezing… the convince of its step down location just outside one of the bedrooms sliding doors and right off the deck, amazing. This neighborhood was the cutest and most convenient of my big bear stays to date. Short walk from the house you’ll find several eateries and liquor store. Alpine Slide is a short trek around the corner (although you wouldn’t know it from the serine silence, I’ll get back to that)If you’re up for walking a little farther , the village is just down the way from there. As I mentioned previously, the neighborhood is just wonderful. You wouldn’t know the Alpine slide or main road is just around the corner because it’s just so peaceful. I imagine we will be retuning to this property again in the future. Hopefully check in can be a little early. That’s the one bad part about turnkey so far. When you only have a couple days to escape to the mountain, you don’t want to waste majority of your first day basically living out of your car.

Family ski trip

Besides needing a good dusting of the blinds and ceilings fans, the place was just what we needed. We skied all day and spent the evenings in the hot tub and the game room. We would stay there again.

Great location in Big Bear

Cabin was just as described. My two boys loved the game room with arcade and ping pong table. They could use more board games but we had some from home. Kitchen was well equipped just needed more cleaning products, I had to get my own for dishwasher and counters. Beds comfortable and enough blankets. Great fireplace in the living room. Backyard was huge and jacuzzi amazing. Main concern was that the snow was not cleaned on time. The deck and stairs outside where very slippery. Firepit was buried on snow and tables and chairs. Me and my husband spend an hour digging and couldn’t turn firepit on. We contacted manager and apparently they send someone to fix it when we where not there but still couldn’t work. Again probably because was not kept covered from the snow. Overall great house and will stay there again.

Cozy, Comfortable Cabin

The house was perfect for my family’s Christmas getaway- there were four of us and we brought our dogs. House was cozy and well stocked. The yard was well fenced in and maintained. Little things around the house were thoughtful and helpful- motion sensing night lights, phone chargers by each bed, labels on the cabinets so you knew where everything was! You could see some signs where there was wear on the doors and vanities and some walls. And especially the carpet. I think one small thing that might help is changing out the bath mats and little rugs frequently but thankfully it is a property that accepts dogs so I’m sure this will happen anywhere. Would definitely recommend and come again. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Can’t wait to go back

We absolutely loved this property. The neighborhood is quiet. The backyard is perfect for dogs. Our little guys had such a fun time exploring. It’s located close to town and easy to get around. The house fan helped keep the house cool in the evenings. We can’t wait to go back!

Great house

We enjoyed this house for many reasons: first, great backyard. Fire pit, hot tub and fenced in yard was wonderful. I’ll add I’m always very skeptical about hot tubs, but this one was very clean and maintained. The communication with the property management company was great. There were a few issues upon our arrival, for example we didn’t have any kitchen trash bags and the wood floors needed more cleaning. They came out fairly quickly and addressed the issues. The game room is super awesome! We all spent a lot of time playing Pac-man and ping pong. The only reason I give this house 4 stars, is the carpet! It’s very soiled and either needs a major professional cleaning or better yet, replaced. I’ll mention we never had an issue with barking dogs. Overall this is a great house.

Good & Not So Good

This home has a lot of great things about it including the TV’s with Dish Network, the hot tub, fenced yard, firepit and BBQ. If you’re traveling with a pet, it’s perfect. The kitchen was well-equipped with nice appliances as well. Baths were OK but the twin beds were uncomfortable and too small for my adult kids in Bed 2. What was not so good, is the neighbor dogs (4 of them) barked all night, each night of our stay. And because there is no A/C in this home, closing all the windows was not an option. It made getting a peaceful night sleep totally impossible for all of us. So if you are looking for a relaxing place, this may not be it. I’m sure in the winter months, it’s less of an issue. The management company was very good but don’t count on early check in or late check out - their system is a well-oiled machine and they are strict with the 4pm and 10am timeframes. Hope this helps.

Great place for kids and dogs!

Had such a great time in this cabin with our 2 kids and puppy. Lots of great details such as wireless chargers throughout the house. We loved the game room in the garage and it was so dog friendly. Would return!!

Awesome!

Loved our stay. Especially the convenience of the location for this cabin. Everything was pretty much walkable. Loved that we were able to bring our dogs with no issues, and that the yard was enclosed. Did get extremely hot in the house during the day, but the house fan at night is a lifesaver. Will definitely be staying here again.

We loved the location of this rental. Lovely kitchen to cook in and we enjoyed the backyard amenities. We will definitely be back. Perfect place if you bring your dog with you. Kids enjoyed the game room in the garage as well.

Big Bear fun

We love the peacefulness of Big Bear. The house was nice with a few issues. It is located more in a neighborhood with owners having dogs. They barked the whole time. We had a ant problem we found them in my puppies food bowl. He got bit by ants and he refused to eat out of his bowl anymore. My grandson was eating his ice cream and there were ants on couch by him. The hot tub was so low on water we could not run blower in fear of blowing motor.

Fantastic small cabin perfect for a getaway with your furry friends!

We enjoyed our stay so much! Fantastic little cabin with an amazing backyard. The remotes had some dead batteries and didn’t all work; which really isn’t a big deal. It was absolutely perfect.

Great Property for the whole family!

This is our second year renting this property. The 1st year we struggled with the keyless door, thermometer, had a dozen questions and the property management team was really great answering everything, walking us through how to use all gadgets in the house. The service was amazing. Which is why we decided to rent the same place. I loved the additional touches added this year versus last. Theirs TVs everywhere, the cabinets are labeled, the backyard is spacious. We love this property. My only complaint is we didn’t bring extra blankets since the year before they had so so many and this year they didn’t have enough blankets nor extra pillow cases for the extra pillows. You will want extra blankets because the bedroom with the twin beds never seems to get warm enough.

Great little place with all the details covered.

House was tidy and had everything you could need from TV's in every room to the aim a flame for lighting the fire pit. Plenty of towels, starter amounts of soap and shampoo. Place was clean and beds were comfy. Yard is much bigger than it appears in photos.
